Correct me if I'm wrong (& probably am) but Aston is a TOTAL SHELL REPLACEMENT for the default Windows Explorer Shell....something WB is not (skins only) meaning it can't be used as an easy fast switch/go back alternative - I've always wanted to try this because it looks so awesome, but after going to the website you find so many of the useable themes have the same problem Dx has: "resolution restrictive" - meaning your screen resolutio

I find Aston fasinating as a replacement...it's always reminded me of Desktop X. I've always wanted to try it, but like Dx it's resolution "restrictive"; ALOT of themes I like are only 1024x768 & I'm running 1280X1024....too bad. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sad.gif"

Seems about a 9.5 at my end in Huntington Beach, CA....using FiOS/Verizon at 14Mbps. Rating from me would be - 4+1/2 STARS - that's for Double Zero!!!

If Microsoft can come out with how many - Six different versions of Vista(on two platforms - 32bit & 64bit) WHY can't they(APPLE)work on an OSX PC version exclusively! Can't you see it....you walk into COMPUSA & see a metal rack stand with OSX/PC's....OSX/Mac next to each other!! SA, You can buy a PC from scratch - you & you alone - selecting the components you want without being locked-in buying an emachine(your comparing Macs to emachines like it's your only choice for that price!!) Also I find it ironic in that Apple use to press the notion of PC's all looking the same - ugly beige coloured boxes(which they were!!!) fasterus, Maybe your system isn't all it's cracked-up to be...I was on DSL (about 1.5Mbps) which provided ample speed; since switching over to FiOS(fiber optics) everything is jet speed loading almost instantly: (100Mbps) - no waiting - MOST OF THE TIME...Once in awhile I'll have a slow down here, but almost never. Could be your ISP and/or area as well. <
I know what you mean Brad...the past two weeks or so has been great on my end(I live in Huntington Beach CA) at least: very fast & responsive! Today the 31st I've noticed the big slowdown.
