I made a local militia based on the Conundrum episode of ST: TNG (it was on again last night, just love to see one big ship instantly destroy six little ones...
Helioforge
Do a "Resistance is Futile" message with a Psi Antimatter Recharger
Very nice ManSh00ter... Particles are so much fun to play with... Can't wait to see the Chuck Norris Class supership explode when scuttled (after all, nothing can actually destroy it) :CONGRAT:
I just made a Borg sphere from the Psi Antimatter Recharger, (although it looks more like the Zindi superweapon from ST: Enterprise :CONGRAT:
The game's not over until you build a thousand scouts and attack the enemy's homeworld!!! --Last week I let my nephew play SINS, now all he does is draw chalk Space Ponies on the sidewalk while whispering "This Means Something"
I am happy that you're all standing up for the features you want in SINS... If you could have everything you want in a Perfect Campaign, then what are all those things??? (not simply that you want them) That way, when the developers read this part, they will make better campaigns...
I think I covered it in my "how to make a fourth Race" posting [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/312810"]WWW Link[/link]
Filefront is so awesome... Alternatively, it would be fun to be one of the stardock people who "check out" the mods :) !!!
I agree, go through all of Uzii's old work and redo it with your style :)
Harry Harrison (Stainless Steel Rat) Also, the brilliant Haruki Murakami: (A Wild Sheep Chase) Has anyone ever read the original 10 page short story of that bad movie last year: Mimsy were the Borogoves The point of the story was that we are taught ways of thinking, but there are other ways of thinking, based on understanding instead of perception... It's still my single favorite story, even if the movie was bad...
LOL!!!
-you have a small nuclear device [(c) Space Worms] implanted in your body
Oh no!!! Not a Snuke!!! :SURPRISED:
Never! That whole McKay-trapped-in-jumper-at-bottom-of-ocean hallucination bit was hilarious
I thought I was McKay's Hallucination... Oh no! that means I'm McKay!!! :SURPRISED:
Now I'll have to change my character to Robert Picardo!!! :)
I mod for the Karma I use to fuel my spaceship so I can get back to Atlantis (Did you see it, they dropped Carter as a main character!! :(
Also, you should save it as a separate file to keep from interfering with the original intended purpose of the mesh (I do this so I know it's my new stuff causing the minidump and not conflicts with the old stuff)
Most abilities don't need the dummy points added to the mesh... However some of them need a place to emanate from, like a beam weapon, and some abilities use the "center" and "aura" dummy points to show a persistant effect... So to be safe, cut and paste a collection of dummy points into the mesh if it doesn't have any, if you intend to re-purpose any of the meshes... Just be sure to count them and adjust the total at the top...
Yes, I didn't want to actually imply this was the case... I like slight, periodic poking over full-out slandering them :) :D
One of the best benefits that was missed above is so that you can boss them around. Its a feature I think a lot of people don't realize is there
YES!!! Here's what you do: ---Make friends with everyone ---Have them attack the Pirates in the center ---Invade their homeworlds!!! Problem solved...
Ships take a minute to get to full speed, with it's big engines in back, but stop on a dime with tiny little thrusters in front!!!!!
Also... ...there are those who make videos that make it look like they have a feature that they don't actually have, because of ego or they want to be first or something... It all boils down to the thinly veiled competition that so many people have with one-another (are we all so different from the sins AI that says "attack my planet", when they really mean: "get your fleet destroyed so I can invade you") So many people say competition brings development, but the sabotage
I just looked at the sci-fi site and noticed the poster for Atlantis had Woolsey in the group instead of Col. Carter (see photo) :) I hope it doesn't mean anything bad for Samantha... anyway, the mesh skins are looking nice :CONGRAT:
Oh, Volt, that's the prefers-to-focus-fire attribute, it causes all ships to attack one target... Synchronized targeting will fire all you fleet's weapons at the same time...
...Bad news... The proximity activation I've been using with frigates didn't transfer to planet-modules, so it won't help with the mine-fields...
That works... ...I have Tech Refineries going around laying siege to planets, with a big giant beam weapon emanating from the front docking port... Just one thing though... ...you are going to need to add dummy points for weapons, hanger bays, abilities, and whatever else you may want... ...or you get a minidump...
Maybe they outsourced the game to a "platform developer", one who doesn't know how to make games on real computers??? That would explain how they can be so sure they will never, never make it PC, and the rest of the excuses would be to cover this up???
I wish you could just toss a constructor module out the back of a SOVA, whenever you wanted to!!! Not only could you build bases in uncolonizable zones, but you could dump out 50 constructors at an enemy fortified planet and build a fleet of defense cannons and hanger bays!!! I haven't tried it yet, but you might have to "own" the gravity well first...
