My estimate based on my own experience... I'd say over 90% of the games I play complete without crashing/desyncing/disconnects. The terrible things that were going on at launch are long gone. The number one issue I run into is poor sports who quit the moment they die. They ruin more games than any technical issue ever could, and that is nothing that you can fault the devs for.

Don't be mad when trolling threads get locked. I could have made a post covering the exact same things you did and it would never have been locked. It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

Hey LifeSupport sorry to hear of the trouble and hope Stardock can help you figure it all out. Do keep in mind though, the vast majority of us that use Impulse do not experience any of these weird issues you are having. I'm sure there are people who have odd problems with Steam too that make the service appear broken. Btw, Frogboy is about the best support you can ask for. It's his company after all ;)
Here's how you fix it: make priests auto-spawn at rank 3 or just add one priest to all creep waves from the start of the game, with the priest upgrade adding additional ones.
The first option makes the priest citadel upgrade pointless. The second option is unreliable and easy to neutralize. Creep priests are total pushovers with 450hp. Being unable to control them makes using them situational.

Right now you can't find such a mod, hopefully that changes. In the meantime it sounds like Teseer has the only mod that comes close. Nerfing hp items should hurt Generals more than Assassins because of the priest factor. That's a good start to leveling the playing field. If his mod gets more support it could make a great starting point for such a project. If you take the HP nerfs and retool the Generals skills to focus on minions (think auras, and minion stat boosts

I've never had issues with alt tabbing, and I never run windowed mode. It might be a driver issue. Windowed mode will fix that though.

You don't need to nerf the priests. Nerfing all the +hp items would reduce the effectiveness of the priests dramatically. % based healing is only an issue because of the health stacking. I still think Generals would be more interesting if they were designed to be pushovers without a minion army backing them up.

This is silly. You guys are all welcome to your opinions on whether P2P or Client/Server is superior, but blanket statements like "Demigod will never be good because it is p2p" is a giant load. I only need to point to this games closest sibling, Supreme Commander, to rule out that whole line of thinking. These techs both have pros and cons, trade offs and limitations. RTS games have traditionally used p2p systems for a lot of reasons that, when you compare

I commented last week that I hadn't been playing any DG until the 1.2 patch came out. I figured there was a substantial number of people, like me, waiting for the patch. The new DG's are obviously a draw, but I think the real appeal is the modding support coming online. I've noticed several dormant modders from the beta days resurfacing. If dev support for the game stays strong, modders start getting their groove on and holiday sales come together this game cou

Sweet! It's like the beta days all over again, thanks Chirmaya. [e digicons]^_^[/e] On archives, yeah, .zip handling by windows is definitely much improved from xp. Still imo you gotta have 7-zip or winrar loaded up by default.

Carmack is joining the ever growing fold. I like my xbox, enjoy the online experience it offers, but the matchmaking system it employs will never trump the classic pc method. Game devs are gearing up for a war with PC gamers if they think they can make this trend stick. I've never been inclined to use it, but if the whole FPS market consolifies even the matchmaking, Hamachi type systems are going to explode. In the end, piracy will still exist, probably even expand in

To address the OP, If I'm still playing, I'll pay. The reason for me is simple. The amount of detail that goes in to each one of these creations is considerable. Quite simply, they are frickin expensive to make. So the choice before us is: no new DG's ever (barring expansion pack) or we pay for new ones. The amount of money they would blow creating a detailed model, skins, animations, skillsets, voice overs, play testing.. it's just too much to be free. If
