The fact of the matter is that the only thing our two parties ever work together on is bills and reforms to squish third parties and anyone more centrist. Most Republicans are too far over to stupid-crazy Christian Right. Most Democrats are too far over to "socialize everything" left. I think most common people are in the middle, but there's no middle parties.

I really don't see why christians think that Evolution could not be compatible with a creation story. It's incompatible with the idea that God said "behold" and every creature that exists today existed then. We all know creatures die out, share DNA, follow specific paths. Natural Selection can, for the faith-minded, be taken to mean "God-directed Selection" and work out the same way, with divine influence. I don't even believe in any sort of intelligent design yet I
Since no one, ever since Evolution Theory came into play as a worldview, has ever seen Darwin's Evolution take place and cannot come up with proof of the missing links, I am unwilling to disbelieve the Torah account of Creation in Genesis or the teachings of the Catholic Chruch on this matter.
Since no one, ever since the dawn of time, has ever seen or proven a God created the species and cannot come up with such proof, I a
I also agree that Ifill did a fine job but I still think her conflicting interest should have disqualified her. Why should she be afforded such attention for her biased book?
As I understand it, the picks were made before she announced her book. And she did do a decent job of what she was picked to do.

Wait a second, isn't this a capitalist society? Don't we let people succeed or fail on thier own merit? Why did we EVER let anyone get "too big to fall" and if this service is vital, why aren't other institutions cropping up to provide it anyways?

As someone who's still on the fence for various reasons (Obama supports universal healthcare, for example, and no government in the world has gotten that one right, so I have no hope of ours doing it, while McCain is way too hawkish and not diplomatic enough) I have to say, I got fed up of hearing talking points about midway through the debate. I did see Gov. Palin give 90-second awnsers that in no way matched the questions, which caused an eyebrow raise. And I think if I hear t

Let me just say, because they are eventually broken many companies underestimate the old standby of serial keys. Firstly, anything can be broken. However - I'm unaware of many cases where they're broken enough to fool an online check system like an online game setup/impulse. And the end-user doesn't find them very irritating at all. Seems like a winner to me, but because ZOMG PIRACY (which is really a cover for "RENT THEM OUR SOFTWARE") they "don't work anymore, need Starfor

Gotta say, I think the reason why the lawsuit was thrown out is because simply afixing a label to a CD is not an agreement between two parties. First off, nobody asked for the Promo CDs to be sent to them, secondly, there was never a contract signed, causing the court to conclude that they were gifts. A EULA, regardless of how ridiculous it is to have an after-sale contract, or the fact that nobody reads em, is a contract - you agree to be bound by the terms of the contract in o

Also, a request for GalCiv3 from a moder - even if it's not used for the ingame tech trees, can we have the ability to have a tech 1) be able to require two or more prerequisite techs (IE: Killer Beam Laser requires Plasma IV and Killer-Chicken Studies), and also the option to make a single tech be able to be unlocked by two techs (Cryobeam requires EITHER Plasma IV OR Frozen Chicken Patties). The tech tree is neat, but still kinda limited. I'd also like the idea to have

I'd hazard a guess that MP is in because they think they can have a bigger team for GC3 than they did GC2 and can give the fans that want multiplayer what they want without sacrificing AI. I wouldn't want Multiplayer either, if the AI was sacrificed, because sometimes I won't be able to fill all the slots with players. Speaking of slots - GCIII is going to need more empires that we can throw in. Eight isn't enough for Gigantic, much less Immense. I want like sixtee

Frogboy - I don't have an issue, persay, with a request like that from the developer that is "you can only install three times" or "you can only play this game at night during a full moon with a dead parakeet in your lap". That's within thier rights to demand as far as product use goes, and within my rights to laugh at and not buy. However, when you put something like that INSIDE of the INSTALL PROGRAM and not in BIG BOLD LETTERS ON MY BOX I bought at a retail store, we run into an is

And people are reacting - by flaunting, in vast numbers, the ridiculous DRM. Even with their lobbyist-backed laws in place, greedy publishers cannot subvert the will of the people. I can tell you if my instal limit on Spore or any other game runs out, I will not be calling and begging some customer service rep in India for a new key or activation. I will be breaking the DRM and continue as standard.

Firstly, a concession: You are correct and I have forgotten my sunday school - god rested on day seven, man was day six, land animals five and ocean animals four. Secondly, I'm going to have a listen to this vid - I hate to come into a debate unaware of a position.

I'd like to add that there is some scientific good to be found by looking into the possible existance of god - where Science and faith have the disconnect is that Science seeks to prove through facts, and religion through faith regardless of facts. And now for a bit of copy-paste: "It is commonly claimed by critics of evolution that there are no transitional fossils... Such claims may be based on a misunderstanding of the nature of what represents a transitional feature.

MS really just earned my eternal hate for unncessarily barring DX10 to Vista. I'll pick up Windows 7 for the improved 64-bit stuff though - my 2gb of RAM isn't enough to play GalCiv and WARhammer at the same time, but the rest of my system is, so it's time to upgrade.

I have to say, this seems like a poor choice for an impartial debate moderator. I will be watching the moderator and thier attitude towards the candidates as much as the candidates themselves. I personally am hoping Sarah Palin gets a chance to prove herself more than I think she is - this is her chance to show she isn't the religious whacko I and many other independants see her as. If she loses her chance to prove she has her own leg to stand on through a biased debate, I

It's amazing how you twist facts KFC. You remind me of a good Baptist preacher, actually, taking one thing and twisting it until it meets your worldview. I stated that we shared our DNA with dirt - jokingly pointing out the Hebrew creation story states that we come from dust with life breathed into it by God - ad you turned around and pointed out DNA stays in dirt? Wow. Except it's an awful tangent that has nothing to do with the comment. Where did we come fr

PLEASE open up the floodgates so to speak, for modders. The more mods there are, the more a game has longevity. Mods are, for instance, why people still play Starcraft and WC3 but have left the C&C series pretty much in the dust. Every option that you hardcode is baaaad, imho. It's your game and you'll make it how you want, but please remember the modders!!! [e digicons]:([/e]
