Looks like this will be another sweet skin. Strange...for some reason as soon as I saw the chains in the first image, I thought of Donkey Kong.

But this requires UAC to be turned on for DesktopX to work, correct? This still presents a problem for me because UAC has to be turned off or it won't allow IE7 to print to PDF. :p
ALMonty...
I owe you and andrew (and whoever else is involved [but not all the Stardockians!]) a drink next time I'm up there
Just send them a big bottle of Crown Royal. ;)
What do you mean "edits aren't working"? Errors? Does it take a while for the edit to appear?
The problem that I see with the edits is, if you edit a post, then edit it again, the first edit's text is gone.
Everything looks good, but I'd like to be able to edit my forum posts.
You can. Above the post, right side there is a box labeled tools. Click it and there is an edit choice.
I did but I can not see any post in that thread higher than the one numbered # 75 on the 3rd page. I click on the last page arrow and that is the last post showing. My post is not visible and the thread says there is 126 posts, but I can only see 100 of them, page 0-3 are the only ones I get. In other words, the post for problems has problems itself. :) EDIT: Go figure...that threads working now. :)
When I hit enter to move down a line to space out the text it is not working unless you create the line break yourself with .(minus the spaces between the I also find that if you edit an edited post, your edited text reverts back to the original post.
Zubaz, I am using IE6. i used to just hit enter and I would space down to the next line. Now I can hit enter 10 time and get to the middle of the box and as soon as I post it runs the text together. Maybe if I try this it will. Figured it out...it's not adding the The editing of edited post problem is still there.
You need to give us a week to use it before running a pole like this. All the stuff that doesn't work is bound to skew the results. I would give it a month, fix all of the issues, and re run this pole. I guarantee you'll get totally different results. :) All of my text runs together...how do you create a line break? Also, after you edit a post and then try to edit it again, the first edit is no longer there.
(edit) never mind...Zub beat me to it.
This was a good Q & A. It's nice to know you guys (and gals) better. :)
Seabass, Thank you. :)
Microsoft states that SP1 will not be released in the update center until mid March and will not be pushed out as an automatic update until April. I am being told the only way to get it is to obtain a pirated copy. Since my copy of Vista runs sweet, I see little reason to hunt down a pirated copy of a service pack that will more than likely screw my system up. I already had to restore a back up of my system when I installed RC1 due to DesktopX issues. More than likely, I'll wait until St
Is it possible to just install Windowblinds without SDC? When I go to my registrations I can only get a link to Stardock Central. Can I install the trial version and use my object desktop key in it to make it a full version? I would like to install it on my work laptop and I would like to keep the install to a minimum.
Me, I have a big screen, I'd like to decide how much of it an app uses.
I am with Zubaz on this. At a resolution of 1680x1050 and up, the windows are a bit small and you have to scroll alot. I would like to be able to enlarge the window to keep scrolling down to a minimum.
As to the statement about buying Windows, I receive all of my updates for my Widows XP Home edition for FREE.
You do realize that support for Windows XP, as all operating system, will end eventually. That means you will have to upgrade to a newer version of Windows if you want updates. I'm sure you don't expect Microsoft to give you a new version of Windows for free, do you? Why then would you expect Stardock to give you updates for free, forever? You should do as N
I understand, no problem. I'm sure you guys know what can or can't be done far more than I do. :)
Did you try using Tweak Vista to turn the programs off instead? It's the way I got around the msconfig warning. Can you give me a link for your wall?
WOM, thanks. I would still like to see if it would be possible for us to be able to download your own submission while it is in moderation so we can verify file integrity. I'm sure it would save the moderators some time and trouble if we have the ability to correct corrupted files before you look at them. Perhaps something like this could be put in place in the future.
I've done nothing different and the dream is viewable on 2 other systems of mine so I am sure it corrupted in the upload. It would be nice if we could download our submision while it is in moderation so we can verify file integrity.
I thought I'd try out uploading a swf file with my latest dream and was wondering, should I see the video tab as a choice while this is in moderation? This is my second time uploading this dream with the swf, the first time I got a reply that 2 moderators were unable to view the dream. I figured it must have gotten corrupted in the upload so I uploaded it a second time. My concern is that maybe the swf is corrupting the dream somehow while uploading.
and when i say/ask when i mean when exaclly how much longer do we gotta wait exaclly? a week? a month? maby hopfully tomorrow even?
If you a current Object desktop customer, it is available now in beta form.
