Rainbow 6. That was really the only 1st person shooter I got into. Me and a couple friends used to "Hot seat" the game. You get to fight til you get killed twice. Then it's the next persons turn. Good times. I think a considerable amount of pot & alcohol was involved, but I can't be sure.

I'm playing a game with the custom race and I set planet quality at +20% (That cost 8/10 points) and the other two points spent on Luck and it's insane. I have a PQ26 and several PQ24's. I even have a PQ24 as my manufacturing Capital and it has a +700% manufacturing tile on it! Damn! Just wait til I buff it out with econ star bases! This is going to be fun! Have any of you ever had luck dumping all your points into +20% PQ trait?

In that game we were playing it can take a while to make a move. Up to an hour or 2 or 3 in my case. So that means one turn per day. I thought my opponents understood that. & what about the people that just vanish? No reply to my "I'm not trying to rush you. Just want to know if you are still there" emails.

I really don't have a point other than to say that this is a great game & I still don't like small ships. Perhaps after a few games at higher levels I'll change my tune. Who knows? PBEM games can be fun but they can be frustrating. I was playing GARY GRIGSBY'S WORLD AT WAR (I would link it but you can search the game just as easy) and the PBEM kinda let me down. I was playing three games & one opponent was kicking my butt & quit sending me his turn and I have no idea why. <br

Seems to me that a few large hulled vessels do much better tearing him a new one rather than being parked in a planet's orbit. And a few medium hulls with lots of speed to protect the frontier. And to Axhed....Is that from "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly?"

Sure, small & tiny ships are good for going on raids on the Yor star bases & trade routs. But in fleet actions? Forget it! One weapon on a small hull does not seem to do damn thing against them. Even if I have a fleet of six fighters v. one of his medium hull size ships they don't seem to be worth it. I'll take the larger hulls thank you very much.

It was only a medium size map & you can see the level I played at. I almost felt bad for them once I decided to go ape on them. They were like "Get her off me!" Started a new game...Larger universe....harder AI. This game is too fun! In my 2nd Mataverse game I'm going for broke, draining the treasury to pump out colony ships. The colony rush went well! I found a P17 planet! I figure I can make some money later but have to keep the YOR off me for a bit.

The minor races in Strategies GalCiv2 Forums

When I meet a Minor Race I'll give them all my tech for cash. I'm guessing that since they are a "Minor Race" they wont turn it against me. I can pound them to dust later if needed. Also, when I trade tech with a player I'll set up the trade that he likes (Text is green) then go for some cash on top of the trade. I'll try to get every last credit from him! I'm still getting my butt kicked against the AI but thought I would share what I have tried so far.

Hi! I just got this game last week so I'm definitely a "Noob" but this game is a blast! I hope I'm in the right place to post these comments. First thing I want to comment on is there is no "Next Unit" button that I can see. I see that the "Turn" button goes green when every unit has orders & there is nothing else to move & thats great!
