Just one thing thats, soo is that, they dont have any plans, to have the option to buy and download it!! what the frell/frack?!??++ a bit disappointed there well, it IS a pile of frelling bool-yots, dumb sons of hazmots don't realise that us waiting for the shipment want to play to. ps, that's about the extend of my far-scape knowledge.

so, does this mean the disclaimer on the "febuari beta" no longer applies?
riiiight, well i'll give my view of the matter 1. Will there be upgrades available, and will the improvement be speed related (ships go faster) or range related (ships go further, assuming range is an issue) Definatly, has been officially confirmed by the devs, both on speed and range(ammount of Antimatter reserves). Range is also an issue, because the map is full 3d. There might also be upgrades to jump deeper into gravity wells. 2. C
just use a little googling for an easy exchange. Google so, preorder + shipping to europe would 42.57 Euro, varying sligthly due to exchange rates
oh yeah! we need a ghostbusters game, man that brings back memories (even though the movie is 2 years olders then I am, the cartoon is not) still, it looks like a mod for the source engine. the physics and effect look very Source'y. but really, who cares? Time to cross some beams
yeah, some CV work would be shiny, so we unofficially say "By the same guys that brought [great game]" (even if he only sweeps the floor in both buildings)
43 years old huh? so you must have been gaming by candlelight. 19 years old myslef, but working on it anyway, all you 'game geezers' here have an even worse atention span. Wasn't this about a gameplay video?
There's no way to tell how big it is, but it does look VERY shiny
woot, news or at least the promise of it. but i'm sure we can all look ahead to the torrent of info (maybe not the best word to use nowadays) that we will get with the beta.
ahh, and because of the crap support one should simply stick to square monitors (4:3)
they also said there will be no interstellar battles,so they will probably pass each other by, which isn't that odd considering how much space there is. I just hope it won't be like in EAW, where you send a fleet from planet to planet and then loose control while it is en route, so that you can only send the next order once it arrives.
You can't exactly pre-order from the Middle East. why not? There's a direct to drive version available. and I see no way how living anywhere could stop you from getting the game. EDIT: unless you don't have cable/dsl [Quote](..the beta is out..) Sometime in the winter portion of 2007. to specify with info from other thread,
I prefer to hand place my most important buildings and then autoplace everything else (esp if I'm busy elsewhere) sooo, am I correct in deducing that building placement matters? and that city planning has an effect on gameplay?
doesn't really matter if it's not set in stone. Better to have a date 'somewhere in febuari probably' then saying 'at 15th feb, at 16:30' and then miss it. Then again, i'm quite sure Yarlen is going to be quoted a lot on that, without the disclaimer.
only 9 so far...wow, small beta that'll make. Looking at the SupCom beta, which holds 10000+ it's quite tiny...
erm, all the dates you're calling out are speculation of course. There is no official word about any demo... Also, no precise date for the beta, though IIRC it's pretty soon.
C&C3 is going to have a FREE observer client?? that's so cool. E-sports here we come. On the other hand, a C&C game takes, what? at most 30 minutes? in extreme cases? My atention span for watching other people game ends there... observer mode will very likely be integrated, but a standalone observer client? doubtfully.
Hmmm, I don't think there'll be a lot of use for it. Dynamic rally points, either on a ship or on a fleet, will solve the problem. You can just take the extra second to que up the number of ships you want. remembering grouping will be more of an annoyance then a blessing, as you would want the ships on the right to go to the right, not the ships that origiannly made up task force A.
Well, I planned on putting a poll in, but that seems to be impossible. so, I'll just ask normally. Did a lot of you preorder the game? Counting so far - 1
wow, shiny. I like the metal glinty thingies. What Inert means is that lightsources do shine, but don't iluminate. ie, the fire doesn't light up the hull around it.
and while we're at it, it seems Opera is returning this Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers
a 'barbarians at the gates' mode. 1 vs 3, where the 1 player starts with high tech and easily defendable lands, and the other three start lowtech and with wide open areas. maybe throw in some kind of superweapon, which can be more easily captured by the single player.
wow, so you're going to have the AI done before the MP aspect? kudos to the devs. What would be really usefull in the Beta though, is the ability to spawn non-controlled or AI controlled units and builings in a sandbox game. And a small piece of advice, Don't overpower the AI (looking at you Supcom! haven't won a single skirmish)
Second, there is experience i think, the ships will become more powerful the more battles they are in. But dont quote me on that. we can, because there will be experience. I'm 99.995% sure that the devs have said so. also, there won't be moral in the game, I think I brought it up before, and t doesn't excist, it doesn't fit with the scale of
hmm, numbers don't count for everything. Didn't Fragile Allegiance have the retreat option for either XX% of fleet is lost, or Fleet is overpowered XX:1 ? I believe it calculated it in resources present in the fleet, of course, with every race similar but for the skins and models, that's simply. Also, I wouldn't want my fleet running from me, shouting out that 'Fleet alpha overpowered' would be a nice feature though.
