If you can find a way to make the normal start button activate the start panel and a desktop x object at the same time you could imbed DX controls into the start panel. From there you could have buttons that activate parts of the desktop X theme like clock, weather, etc. Can it be done?
Everything is possible with Dx and this doesnt sounds alot complex thing to do.

You are doing a great job Puterdudejim. Variations in your styles is what I like most. I dont like to see alot of skins with same interface and different images but its a matter of interest. You have come with very original styles and images. Keep making some more exciting interfaces with interesting images. You are gonna be a desktop master just like Gef. :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

Dont set object controller a member of that group. You can also check if parent child relationship can help you. Create a toggle parent object with 0% opacity and set others as its child. When you want the object to hide/visible toggle the parent object with the controller. If this also doesnt help then go for script. DektopX.Object("your_object").visible =true/false is the key line to do it.

You dont need to buy it to modify desktop, a free version can also do so. I am writing a quick note on how you can do so to get it in detail please check wiki.wincustomize.com 1)Right click on DesktopX client icon in systray and select switch to Dxbuilder. 2)Right click on the object whose target you want to change and select properties. Next On general tab click on change button and then select the target application by browsing and apply it. 3)Right click on the obje
For some reason I had to run this in compatibility mode
This may be because I exported it with the older version of Dx. The newer version was creating trouble with rotation and alignment.
In desktop mode the cupcake was choppy
This may be cause desktop mode needs some more cpu resources. Sometimes it is choppy in my puter too(you know 256mb RAM and dont cry this time) ;) but most of the time it runs nicely.
I still found the help to

I cant understand why people say these type of things.... I have only 256mb of memory with P4 2.4 and I have tried almost all the customization softwares of stardock and they run swiftly even when I run iTunes, opera, coreldraw and some other softwares at the sametime. There are some Dx or WB skins which may get a bit heavy but you can try something minimalistic.
Window Blinds tends to kill the performance
I use it on 256mb memory and none of my programs slow down. I've heard that some skins can make your computer faster than normal GUI.
Thanks and +1 karma for each
This makes me feel I shudnt write here but anyway... 1) search resolution independent in wiki and take eXample from a theme called "Resolution Independente" by quentin. There is no need of code for this, you just have to write width of it in %. write 100% and it will get to 100% of screen. 2) It is not very difficult to write such script. Take some eXamples of Timers from wiki and tutorials and better try it yourself. Learning wil
I think the balloons should be in the same style (not necessarily the same size but the same balloon in different sizes and colors)
Nice advice I will do it. :) There is a randomizing hue shift script in most of the ballons. Whenever they reach top of the screen there hueshift changes but some ballon images cant be recolored by hue shift. The smallest ballon images are recolorable with only hueshift. I have used Tim's and Jimbo's ballon images too but they cant be re

Thanks AV and Rickalot. Actually no replies made me a bit uninterested in making it further, I would have felt better with a reply with just "OK" written. But no problem I am in a habbit of it, you know. ;)
Instead of the instructions pointing to each feature (which does not line up for me) more text on a background might work better. Will it work if I will export the object as a standalone gadget with the older version of Dx? Any idea?
I'll find this project on my old computer and send you the separated *.dxpack file with the script. Just learn how it work and use in your project.
Thanks Vad_M. Please send it, I will try to learn it and use it on.

I am having latest DesktopX update from impulse. Now with it whenever I try to rotate an object from script it changes its position too. Even the dxwidget Ultima`Notes with a skin with rotating object at the top is having trouble. I made it with DX 3.1 and it was working fine for me at that time. I made an object with script for changing its height. It was aligned with bottom so that the bottom remains stable. It was working fine with the older version but now it is working as i
