interesting build and thanks for sharing it. id like to just throw out there though, that upgrading to catas waaaay before the opposition is most of the time a detriment if they know what theyre doing. theyre going to defend their citadel, level past you, catch up in warrank, and then theyre equal in creeps, ahead in gold, and ahead in exp. you only want to jump to catas if you have enough equipment and reserves to push with your creeps. its a judgement call.

do customs not count anymore? is it only pantheon? seeing peeps with over a hundred games rank like 24000. Could someone shed some light?
so theres a barfight. lets call it a knife fight. but theres an exploit that allows one side to bring a gun, but still win the fight (they get to live). Their children and their childrens children will fondly recall the barfight their ancestors won by using the rules to their advantage. In the real world, in business as well as love and war, the guy who holds that view is the one speaking someone elses language because they were conquered, the guy whos best fr

there was a solid month where every thread was discussing ragequitting.
dont understand the hate on the OP, all of the rules he stated are game winners. Hes just imparting his game knowledge upon the masses. Hopefully we are all trying to improve our game. and while your reading. WTF BUY CIT UPGRADES SO I CAN GET A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BEFORE LEVEL 8 (i typically am left with buying currency, exp (on 3v3 andup), and bldg health, ALL game winners. Im sure some nubs will flame those little gems). ps.&nbs
heh, all these posts about multiple reguli with snipe dominating. we came across this. they are the sex early game but gear up a bit and suddenly they just get rolled. its just the dynamic of skill based vs scaling. just dont let your partners quit before level 10.
the effective counters ive found are TB, hammer rook, and regulus. though ya ive also noticed a shit storm of this build going around now.
nice idea ill have to try it out. will take monks over your starting items though, they are the pwn.
i think we were both just pwned. im gonna have to recheck tho im pretty sure it cleans spit
ah they were premade? nice
ya oak is effective at lvl 1, but rook is more effective at level 1 is my point. so is erubus. and my point about the stats was to show i wasnt a nub. my rank is low right now becaues i havent played for a few weeks. If it could show history youd see i was top 20 for a solid two months. notice at one point i took number one in a pantheon. this was in response to you teling me i needed 1 point in shield as a minion oak which i disagre
New guys, Different DG's and builds have different power bands. They mature at varying speeds. This dynamic will cause certain games to feel one sided at the beginning and will make you want to concede. But never fear, you may not be gettin gdominated due to being outplayed, just due to this phenomena. For example, if youre playing 2 oak vs 2 rook theyre going to rape your face till about lvl 7, but then youre going to take off like a bat out of
so could we have it stop pairing us with AI during pantheon?
ok ill try tower rook on prison again. the prob i ran into was they could just go around yout tower since there were no lanes .
hmm, i just thought maybe i could start using hp pots to give me the staying power i need for my minions to work. its possible ive just not been pplaying him correctly.
camel, what is your skill build? how many raise dead? ive found mixing assassin oak and minion oak doesnt work well, as assassin spams pen and surge for his dps, not much white dmg. stil rey good to see you again. who do you know plays a mean minion oak that i could talk to?
Different DG's have varying degrees of effectiveness on different maps to the extent that some pantheon games, with equal skilled players, become a rock scissors paper match. For example, qot on prison is downright brutal. the shield during the early levels on both of your DG's will allow you to dominate the map till lvl 10, which will win you the game almost every time. whereas rook on prison is at a severe disadvantage as there is a dearth of buildings. Tow
i agree with what someone said earlier (im the OP btw) about just because youre going minion you cant get tank gear. I agree with that, and i get the minion armor and usually have a large health pool. The problem is by going minion, you forego the use of shield which really lessens your staying power, you lose your oh shit button. maybe ill try a build with one point of pen, no morale, and max shield and see where that goes. oh i should add this is suc
Im an avid oak player. Ive played both specs and id like to discuss my conclusion. Assassin oak is almost in every situation more effective than general oak. Ive played oak going full morale with minions, as well as penitence instead. the problem i run into is squishiness. the game turns into me sending my minions around, but as soon as the dg catches up to my oak im cat meat. a dg is really only getting to get tore up by your minions if he stands still,
ya just played one again. im convinced that an assassin oak cannot defeat a general erubus who takes bite if theyre equal skill levels. the minions lawl at your surge, the erubus regens so fast you cant pen harass. its simply gg. does anyone know if general oak fares any better?
i just played AS the minion erubus...turns out there are ways to counter it but requires different dg's. for example i came across a tb/ plant combo who would just rape my army. in my original post we suffered from severe lack of AOE (might have worked if reg was a stronger mine player, i suspect he was playing off spec). also, i didnt play it as well as my opponents did when they got me so there was that factor too.
i play an oak assassin. i had with me a sedna and regulus on zik. we were just dominated. with their huge hp pools, 2k minions, and bite there was just nothing we could do quick enough before he would just eat our hp. i gave parasite egg a shot and it wasnt really effective. the slow from his bite would cause me to run, and his gang would just tear my ass apart. our regulus went full mines to counter, and the minions would just eat the mines and the erubus would
well, tower rook is hard to counter in a straight up fight early game, just as oak is late game. you give and you get. typically vs a very good tower rook, it takes me and a teammate to push him . no need for the you suck comments here, this is with and against superb opponents. but this is counteracted by his lack of mobility. but then if you have a good queen, she can usually take him solo. Its just critical to keep an eye on his farm, an
I know we didnt have time in game so you could tell me what i was doing wrong. Would really like to know exactly what you wanted, as Im always looking to improve. I was the erubus. It was in the game with that tower rook mopping the floor with us.
