Tech victory is the easiest path as far as obstacles go. But soon enough just as said above many races will declare war and try and destroy you. I found that though that may be true if you have a few allies you will be able to hold out long enough to finish the research. But it matters on what difficulty your playing cause ive noticed that relations tend to degenerate faster on higher difficulties.
I think that the precentage you have in senate should represent how many planets that faction will get so that at least even if you are in control something happens when you lose the seats in senate.

Hm... definetly interesting seems to be a good game but they are going to have problems with the amount of scale they want to put int.
Yes the older threads are getting a bit annoying but there will always be those idiots who instead of starting new discussions will add to the old useless ones.
Thats weird even when i had 1.2 it still didnt show up for me maybe i put it in the wrong folder.
I wouldnt mind buying it throught the internet its a bit more convinient a bit less safe, but still to me its the same thing.

Yes heroes 3 and heroes 5 are too diffrent games. Heroes 3 was by far the best and then when heroes 4 came out everyone had high hopes becuase well it would be 3D now. Sure there were some nice new features but they completly screwed up the battles, spells, and the unit system. I havent seen much of heroes 5 but it already looks dull and boring even though its cool to look at.
Yeah same with me but not all the movies it randomly picks and choose which ones to ruin its quite annoying.
Yeah this could cause more problems for the player than the AI. Think how much the AI was able to do with 5000 bc now think how much it will do with 2500bc more. I think they added this because many people where complaining that on bigger galaxies they would run out of money if they tried to colonize as many planets as the AI. And if they didnt they would lose the game.
Yeah plus factor in tech bonus and other things and it comes out right. Ive found that GalCiv2 is a very well though out game, sure it has its glitches, but mostly its very well factored and calculated.

Ive seen the altarians choose evil i swear i did and then they teamed up with the Drengin and destroyed EVERYTHING!!! It was insane.
Wow are you serious. There goes my only way of winning when the games a cold war type thing.
Actually i have seen them do it. Its the torians and altarians favorite to do so especially on small galaxies. And they usually build them on the farm squares that give bonuses.

Not a bad idea because large empires do get ver annoying to keep up with.
MMOG are pretty fun but i wouldnt pay any kind of monthly fee for them. There is a limit to what i would spend on any game but player co-operation on a large scale would be quite fun
Just can not wait till it is done and out i have been waiting for a game like this for quite a while, and must give Stardock another round of applause for the amazing game ideas they come up with and the games they alreayd have
