Hi everyone, I have one request that consists of many. First of all, I am trying to create a Next-Generation, 3-Dimensional desktop, something that I will hopefully consider my own concept of "Windows7/Vienna". But, in order to realize this, I will need some kickass icons. Po has taken the first step in an icon pack that I would LOVE to see. If someone could create more icons for other applications that look like his, I would be VERY happy and I would be most grateful. Here is what I ne

Welcome to the dark side. We have cookies! I hope you have some White Fudge chunk chocolate chips cuz those are gooooood!!!!! Anyway, I havent switched to Linux yet but I probably will before next weekend. I just need to look in some forums, etc. to make sure my Inspiron 1501 is compatible with Ubuntu 7.04 in all respects and if its not, what I have to do to make it. Yep...Bye Bye Windows...I hope.
Well i have one sentence that can explain my entire Vista experience. I'm moving to Linux.
One gigabyte of RAM memory is the practical minimum for Vista (except Home Basic which will run in 500 megabytes). The minimum for Home Basic is 512MB not 500. There is almost no way you can get a modern PC to have 500MB of RAM, even if the system used shared integrated video. He just must not have caught the error.
The Vista Sidebar is be able to run transparency (opacity) effects! The Sidebar doesn't use alpha-based transparency. DWM is a highly complex rendering engine, and the Sidebar doesn't represent it fully. As an example of this, and apparently you know, the sidebar still gives transparency when Vista is under the Basic theme. It looks exactly the same way in Aero with the exception of the Add Gadgets dialog.
