I am playing as the Drengin and was at war with the Arceans. The Iconians were also at war with them at the time although we were not aligned. Strangely enough I get a message from the Iconians saying that my war with the Drath has no merit and so they declare war on me. Only problem is... I was never at war with the Drath.

Hi TIPedersen, To your first two issues I can't say I've had any problems with them. Are your drivers up-to-date? What version of Windows are you running? To your thid issue I had the same problem. Earth just... wasn't earth. It was a world with only two very large square landmasses. Possibly something wrong with the file on that one.
I was wondering the same thing about profiles. Just posted my first game and was waiting to get ranked. Thanks.
Great job. Awesome mod.
That would be kewl.
Will Metaverse be working tonight for DA?
Andrew, It can have to do with trade issues or if your economy is experiencing a boost in tax income due to an in-game event (i.e. entrepreneurs expanding business and so forth).
non-canned?
When ships get hit will we see noticeable amounts of hull damage to tell they've been in a fight? Also, will this reduce a unit's ability to perform in combat as ships systems are being destroyed?
lol i hope so too
Look at this... http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/738/738529/sins-of-a-solar-empire-20061011043632262.jpg
Another query... Will we be able to design our own ships or will we have to stick with the stock configurations of ships?
Hello, Not sure if this has been discussed but I am a big fan of Gal Civ II (very much looking forward to the Dark Avatar expansion pack coming out in two weeks!). I've been taking a look at this game since it was announced Stardock would be publishing it. Looks great but I have concerns about the interface. From what I've seen thus far, from the video and screenshots that have been released, it looks mighty cluttered. Thoughts on this? Has the interface been described in more detail el
I just say make each civs sphere of influence the borders. When I put a fleet on someone's border they always tell me to remove it or else. They see it as a border and it should be. There should be a treaty signed between the two civs to move ships through their space. If no treaty is signed then freighters (unarmed) should still be able to move in another civ's space to continue trade. If someone uses that treaty to attack another civilization then that should adversely affect your civ's rating
that sounds great. it would be even better if the up got involved in some way as well.
That's true Narakir. It doesn't right now. I'll try to get a screenshot and post it in the beta thread.
It never fails though. It will always work and is always reusable.
i created a custom race and tried it out. it's bioogical warfare. You create a ship and can use it on a planet decimating it's population, without soldiers, and then planting your people on the planet. The ship is reusable. You could wipe out every civ with one ship. The ship is also pretty cheap to construct and you can add the module onto any ship.
...anyone try it yet? Could somewhat unbalance the game.
I am also concerned because as of right now asteroid fields are undefendable by themselves. You would need a fleet to protect it. The mining colonies should have some sort of defenses. This is especially true because you can have mining colonies in neutral space.
What are your thoughts on this super ability?
Capturing starbases would really change up some of the gameplay and they are expensive. Should be considered for Dark Avatar.
What do they do exactly...?
You can set them to auto-improve. That works for me.
I'll try to get a screenshot next time. The game froze and simply hung for a long while after viewing a kryn frieghter in the starship intelligence report screen. I hit esc and that's when it froze.
