Happy birthday to me. Look what the cat drug home. Flash seems to be working now. Dunno why, it's a Java exploit. I can't find but 3/4 a page in Google about it.

Not sure if it is proper to link out... That thing gives me nightmares of Alien or Star Wars.
I must need to know the secret handshake on this one. I even called it usrChrome and build it a new directory as the chrome one was further up the tree. So I installed Stylish and started again. That is a slick way to edit code. I had uninstalled a bunch of those, including Stylish, when trying to debug this. Actually a total Firefox wipe tends to do that for a person. So, I must be leaving something out. userChrome.css (spelled as seen) @namespace ur
frankell {{ big hug }} So far, better than anytime up to this. There is this message in the Plugins page: Add-on update security checking is disabled. You may be compromised by updates. I tried FF version 3.5 or whatever you can download. No joy there. The thing that is so upsetting is that I hadn't added any plugins, I hadn't removed any, it was the same version FF that had been running all along, it was the same version Flash (I think) I've ran it without plugins. I completely removed FF - including deleting anything that say "Mozilla" Nothing. Same with Flash. So I went ahead and put the downloads back (finding and reinstalling because they had all been
How about Chrome? Chrome is a nice browser and supports Flash. I used it for gaming as both IE 8 and Firefox had problems with that particular game. OR break down and get Windows 7. You will love it - promise!
I got Windows 7 on my real computer. This one has a hard time running Vista Ultimate 64. I'll port everything back when I get a new HD - probably next Christmas :( The t
It had been a long time marriage, even on this temporary machine after I got VISTA installed and all. It worked fine, then "poof" they no longer like each other. I haven't added any new addons, nothing. So, after installs and uninstalls and reinstalls, even dropped the flash down to release 10 (which worked for some pages). I'm trying to find what other things it might be. Is there anything in the apps that might bug flash into not being nice to Firefox? It seems to run OK until
Boy, I had a crush on him when that show first came out. I still can remember many of those songs - which is saying something if you knew how well I remember things. When was that? Late 60s? Naw, I think it was early 70s
Working so far. It properly says it is 32F tonight. Brrrrr Widgets don't work - some of them. Others do. It didn't help the ones that give the error message that the ocx has to be registered. I have never had success self-registering any libraries.
I decided just to pull it off the dock. I've given it two tries prior (both on Win 7) with the same results. Win 8 can be forgiven. If I can't get it to work on Vista Ultimate then I'm not going to convince it to work on anything. Even the information on the flyouts don't change with updates. Funny, the widget/gadgets seem to work most of the time. >
LOL. I haven't found compatibility mode yet (I'm using FF 10.0.2) but under "View" I find a button that says, "Page Style" The choices under style are "No Style" and Basic Style" Basic is the default. "No Style" gives me just an outline list of text so I toggle it back to Basic and the page now looks fine. Strange. The way I got my download before was to look at the page source until I found the right line for the download button. I can't imagine every
Is there a problem with this for anyone else ? Or is it just me? https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktopx_objects/3590/

I wish the file listing for the suite says "DesktopX Standard"' I finally found Pro, it is not cheap. I guess I'll happily widget away for now. Perhaps I can find someone who would save some of my projects as gadget once I have made any that I'm proud of and want to share. That is if it is considered proper to do. If I am starting with someone else's code and adapting it to my own graphics and such, is that allowed? I see a whole mess of things come with the instal
I'm playing with someone else's script to see how it works and having quite a bit of fun and stumbled across a command to export as widget or gadget. I couldn't use the option gadget because it said I don't have "pro" version. Here is the confusion, I thought that the version that comes as a part of Object Desktop package was the pro one, and if not, where is it listed on the web store? Where do I enter my serial number for this software? I'm used to the scre
YAY! Now I know. It came from the chief gadget guy himself. Is there any way to tell by looking? If Gloss Grey clock is a gadget, then it would assume that the weather would be also. But it is looking for StardockWeather.ocx and says the MyColors should have it. (which I thought I didn't need because Theme Manager reads MyColors) Music Weather runs, but I can't for the life of me get it to let me change the location. I realize that these are "package" ones, I think this is why t
Is there a reduced rate price to buy a second seat for Object Desktop or do I have to buy something and get the upgrade? In other words, start over again?
I used to know CMD. I was second on a LAN for a paper mill. I used to know how to shell too. Now I don't even remember shell and the guy who hosts my Internet resellers account often tells me, "why don't you jump on the shell and do it yourself". One day I found how to get to the shell prompt on CPanel. I still don't remember what to do with it. Apache, the Windows of the real world.
I said that it did it on Windows --> 7 Today
Entlebucher? I thought a first a Greater Swiss but I don't see a tail. I have Belgian Shepherd - Tervuren (and a Malinois) I have seen Entlebucher once. They were used for Search and Rescue and were at a SAR conference. Give him a raw steak and a hug.
Ryan's Rapture calendar - both widget and gadget - run great. Perhaps it is the creator that makes the difference. I was just wondering 1) why it cared about MyColors (isn't it obsolete?) and 2) if I could get it to the ocx to register, would it work then?
PBBT! Does the same thing on W7 too! Since I'm fighting with 8 and needed something to swear at, I remembered I hadn't asked yet.
Yah, I was anxious to see if the backups had everything (they didn't - but had the important stuff) and I was still exploring Windows 8. I should probably just trash it for Vista but I wonder how much I'll loose off of this drive. Not much there anymore really, I pretty much zeroed it out when I upgraded to V64. I don't much care for the machine either, that is why it is "spare" to the other. My other other choice was XP Pro machine with pretty full 75 GB drive.
Because of hard drive failure on my main laptop, I'm running off of the second while I wait to afford a new drive for the first. It happens to have Windows 8 installed instead of its usual Windows Vista 64. So, I'm in the process of re-installing all my software and then finding out during installation or first time I run it which works and doesn't. Funny thing, all the old apps I still use (XP and a few older) run great. Stardock is running about half and half. One of
I've tried weather dockets a couple times, but with always the same result. On both of my systems (Win 7/8) the icon on the tool bar always says "61°" The fly outs seem to be accurate. I'm not sure as I haven't paid attention (and it is always raining in Oregon) that the dock icon is ever anything besides a cloud. Am I expecting too much to think that the dock icon should show the actual temp?
