Van i tried the map out, and it looks great. i didnt get a chance to fight the "eris" race cause i didnt have time to do so, but i did run into 1 issue trying to uninstall the mod. I followed your uninstall directions to the letter, but when i started Sins back up it crashed because it was still looking for the "race eris" files. I wound up having to re-install Sins. Can you check this out? I would like to try the map again. I'm very sorry about that.<br

thats a polling buisness... hardly a reliable source of information Linky. 1) who are civilians, I doubt all of those numbers are non-militants, as you know it is the civs who are also the militants Who cares if they're civilians, militants, terrorists, freedom fighters, soldiers, etc? They are humans. Right

with the clean up in Iraq they've actually gotten much more kindly to us. Ah yeah. Cleaning up, what a nice name for something so cruel: Over a million Iraqis have been murdered since the invasion. With the horror your government is inflicting on other humans, I really wonder how you people can sleep at night.

Many other games that are just as new place the saved games in the install directory. I've never seen then put in the application data folder. Neither did I. All new games I own have their saves in the c:\my documents folder. Besides that, Microsoft sucks anyway. So I wouldn't put it past them that they just made this restriction for Ironclad to mess with Blair. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 align="absmiddl

Eh, not so barely noticeable when your in a hurry to get that stupid idiotic nincompoop of a dreadnought away from the planet after it darted ahead to use its raze planet power. Or your colony ship which you've moved by accident with your Kol to a pirate planet. Or your siege frigates which dashed forward into enemy gauss cannons. Restraint, I need more restraint in my fleet!

When we had the chance to choose a custom galaxys with 10 solar systems and 100 planets. And you have alot of fleets it can be very useful, so you dont forget to upgrade them. Because of this a capital ship gets a lovely + sign when it leveled up, so you know where you have not spent ability points. Personally I've never used the auto-pick. I don't tru

there is no crash message...i cant select the race...thats all Ah, that's an issue I have too. I dunno how to make them selectable by the starting interface. Either it's very well hidden (I've searched almost all files accessible to me) or it's still hardcoded or not implemented atm. But there's a workaround of course. I totally forgot it, since I usually play custom maps where I can force the race anyway, but here's how you do it for standard g

I'd like there to be gravity... in the gravity wells... Gravity that pulled ships towards the centers of mass... and slowed the velocity of things trying to leave it... and accelerated things going towards it... that's what I think should be done with gravity wells... have gravity in them... They already have that. It's barely noticeable, but it's there.

Oh, sorry for that. Didn't know that. Btw. you then should also remove the first line. Since it gives the location of things. But still, looks like a lot of nice things are coming our way.

Not so , a pacifist personality is as relentless at killing you as a warmonger. Its just they are more fond of wiping out people who make war with other people. you could say its more tricky to ally with a pacifist. From where do you get this skewed idea of pacifism? A pacifist is someone who would rather die then harming somebody, not somebody who just kills under some other label. A reallife example would be thinking

I do not play multiplayer so why punish us for them? Sigh. It's a beta. A beta is there to iron out bugs and improve the game. Sometimes things aren't finished when their released in beta state. They didn't got it to work with multiplayer atm. so the removed it to introduce it back as soon as they get it working. Besides all that, you can mod the galaxy settings to whatever size you want, so you still have custom galaxies if you invest some minu

The Gamespot preview was pretty much on the mark. So that means we get harvesters for some race? Ah stupid harvester, flying right into the enemy capital planet!

Minause une trois Argh, my ears. ménage, not minause. ménage à trois means household of three ie. a sexual relationship between three people. Grrmmll... grammar... grmmlll... Btw. nice pirates you've got. I would like some of them for my games too. I need a good enemy once in a whi

1. Build a Kol. 2. Build another metal mine. 3. Build infrastructure upgrade. 4. Send out scout. 5. Send out light frigate also as a scout. 6. When Kol is finished, select bomber squadron, twice shield ability and once the gauss cannon ability 7. Move the Kol to the next planet to exterminate pirates. 8. Give move orders to the colony frigate, as soon as only one pirate is left. 9. Rinse and repeat step 7. and 8. 10. Build two civilian research station (for th

about balancing issue's. is it best to study each race units 1 by 1? i mean like for instance, to balance a scout frigate, you have to give and take for what the other race already or hasn't got as far as upgrades, thrust speed, cost of unit, special ability and the likes? say i.e..., vasari scouts is stealthier, so then tec scouts are stronger, and advent scouts are faster, so then your new race scout would be best if it where equaled with the other 3race? in

Planet elevators are a particle effect, not a model. Hups. My bad. Nevertheless, it should be possible to do it client side, since no feature of Sins demands the sharing of so detailed model info between clients. (At least, I see no reason why it should.) It's not as easy as a coding thing. It's a rigging and model thing

at this point of beta it seems impossible to create an own race... are u playing beta 1 or beta 2? I'm playing beta 2 and I've made some races for myself already, so it is possible. Perhaps post your crash message. Could give me an idea what's going wrong.

Not really -- the capships don't have a very effective anti-fighter weapon. Both flak burst and the magnetic thing aren't very effective. Yep, the flak burst ability is a waste of a perfectly good ability point that could have been used for the superior shield ability or the gauss gun ability. (And it's a waste of antimatter to use.) Flak frigates are really useful. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 align="a

Mining these resources is incredibly simple and part of the reason why a game the size of Sins is manageable. You can click on an appropriate harvester and then click on an asteroid, which is the traditional real-time strategy method of getting things done. How about, no? Or, you can simply click on the button that says you want to harvest the material on that asteroid, and the game finds the closest harvester ship and
