I just realized that the facility to design ships styles is not present. Now, I do know that this is just an Alpha release, but is it planned? That was another of the unique things about GalCiv that I really enjoyed. Especially as implemented on GalCiv 2. It really allowed you to immerse yourself in the game and in your custom race. Having simple parts that you can assemble into your favorite SciFi race style is fun and since it is just parts you guys avoid any i

It's been many, many years since I've played GalCiv1, but I believe the ships on the map were much bigger then. Still, I miss the instanced ship battles already. One of a couple of things I forgot in my post. It is one of those unique things in GalCiv that set the game apart from so many others. Though my favorite tactical battle system was the one in Birth of the Federation (as long as you didn't need to activate special weapons like in MOO). Anything to give yo

I just got the Early Access and played two quick games. Some general impressions and suggestions. 1) It's too late to affect the basic game design. I just want to say I have never liked the idea of games with "tramlines" or lanes for FTL travel. They usually just make a frustrating bottleneck during gameplay. Waiting to see how GC4 turns out if I can get a longer game going. 2) I went through two whole sectors without finding any Elerium.

They really need to work on this logic. The AI is all to quick to declare war. There are usually other civs just as close and often weaker, but they all decide to declare war on only me! And no matter how large my map, I always seem to be set close to those darn ugly Krynn. They and the Terrans always want to quickly declare war on me. Even when I trade with them to keep them pacified. And I'm constantly building warships but my military standing keeps just getting weake

In the original GalCiv the minor races used to expand quite aggressively. They were referred to as "Major Minor Races" by some. But Stardock scaled that back. The religious fanatic faction that hated evil was especially bothersome (I always play Evil, muhhahaha).

I just bought this game and re-downloaded stardock.com. I've finally, after several hours, been able to register my s/n to get extra stuff. But I have not been able to figure out how to download the game. I've seen something that says go to stardock.com, locate galcivII and click on the " + " sign. But I don't see a +sign on my screen Since this is something that should be fairly obvious, I must be doing something obviously wrong. Can I get a lit

I just purchased GalCiv II w/the download and get a disc option. I redownloaded Stardock Central. I also had to update my email address. My confirmation email says that Stardock should recognise me and prompt me to download the game. But I dont get a prompt. Also, I dont see anything on the menu that says "tools/register product". I did create a new stardock.net account, but when I went to put in my serial number I received the following message:<
