honestly...you're pointing out that a good tower rook Erebus can cause severe problems on crucible...well, isn't that obvious. i guess a good "anyone" can cause severe problems anywhere. and a good "anyone" will also know how to counter the "good tower rook Erebus".
Thank you for making my point. If you want evidence of balance, look at the spread on the pantheon page - no demigod has higher than a 53% win/loss ratio. That's pretty well balanced. Certain demigods are unquestionably better at certain tasks - UB isn't going to hold a lane as well as Rook, and Rook isn't going to hunt demigods as well as UB - but every demigod offers something valuable to their team, and no demigod is so essential that their absence will result in a garunteed loss.

Yah, mist is a lot of fun. It can also be used for a particularly twisted strategy that I detailed a week or two ago. Pile on enough mana regen, and you can mist permanently. Although mist can't directly damage structures, it can effectively shut down an enemy portal, providing you with an endless stream of nightwalkers with which to attack their base.

I did, however, see a previous poster do the math and the conclusion was that Rank 1 gold upgrade pays for itself after 7.5 minutes divided by the number of Demigod allies in the map. If the game lasts longer than that after the purchase, then it was money well spent. Obviously, the longer the game, the more worthwhile your investment becomes.[/quo

You're way off on Cloak of Night - the cheapest other item that offers Warp is the Warpstone, which is 5500g and offers no other bonuses. Furthermore, I think you might want to consider that the items that boost base mana regen - Cloak of Night and Essence of Magic - also drastically boost the effectiveness of +% Mana Regen items that you can get later in the game. Without the Cloak of Night, it's substantially more difficult for Erebus to reach the 125 MP/s needed for infinite mi

Heart of Life is, without a question, one of the most generally useful artifacts in the game. It is effectively a portable crystal. For 4250 gold, is will almost completely refill the HP and Mana of most characters in a few seconds out of combat. There's continued debate one whether it is unbalanced, and I strongly suspect it will be nerfed in a future patch. Nice as it is, though, it's not a universal necessity. It was a 10k Cataract dominate game, 3v3, and I wound up carrying my team to victory - I came in first in the results by almost every metric (first for kills, damage, deaths, second for buildings and flags), while my teammates came in last by most metrics. I claimed a lane, and I took it. The en

One piece of advice: You mention that Rook's tower of light has longer range than his vision. This is only true is you don't spring for 50g for a Totem of Revelation. The Totem gives a passive +5 bonus to vision, which is a real bargain for the cost.

Unless they changed it in the new version that statement is wrong. When you use the amulet you get a 45 second cooldown and your scroll gets a 30 second cooldown at the same time.
