Check if there is enough room on your harddisk...you never know What also works for me every now and then is to defragmentate your hard disk before installation. I had the same problem with a different game, this worked for me.
*drool* I have a question about Kryo's hull mod. Does it only add hulls as jewelery, or does it affect gameplay (so it doesnt just alter ship looks, they will also cost more and be more/less effective in combat) I want to download it so I can make cooler ships, but not if it affects gameplay thanks
I didnt say I agreed with him, just liked his idea (or rather the possibilities= you steal? game crash mwuahahaha). And yeah, I just realised most bugs were due to hardware problems...tried to edit my post for that but it wont let me for some reason. I get this funky white page with an error message (not the page not found one).
I am mostly looking forward to ships from: homeworld, homeworld 2, star trek (klingon), independance day (yeah, the movie with will smith) why: Ion beam frigates ^-^ Homeworld 2 battleships (the largest ones, forget the name) bird of prey *drools* UFO's all over you damn planet shooting green stuff:D
I was telling a friend of mine today about GalCiv2, and how it was 10 bucks cheaper than other new games. I also told him there is no piracy protection, just a serial key for updates. Lastly, I told him the game came out very buggy with CTD's which would be fixed later. He then told me that the serial key for updates IS the piracy protection. simply because if you copy the game, and dont have the serial code you wont be able to get rid of the many bugs. aka the game wont be enjoyable. whereas th
I had a few buyer regret games myself (galciv2 is not one of them though), but with new games like this it is very easy to sell/trade it over internet. I really do suggest you give it a try, that way you'll get a game you'll enjoy for your money in the end anyway:D. Are the UI and economy the only things bothering you? it's a shame because it really is a great game. Also, with all the updates coming and all the modders around it might be good to stick around. Absolutely no point in venting your frustration here....especially considering 99% of the people here love the game. Thats like cheering for the wizards in the bulls stand.
