Maybe youre correct Spearthrower, but they changed and no where on the forums did anyone request that this be done. Im not the only one that doesnt like it though. Many other people agree with me. (Couldn't they put up a patch where people that dont like it download the old starship creator?)

This is the ONLY thing I dont like about the game. THIS is the ONLY thing I request. Other than that the rest , in my opinion, is gold. Its not like I am asking for them to recreate the entire game to look like starwars. So dont get all huffy puffy acting like I'm asking for a complete makeover of the game because I'm not. Like I said I only want it optional it in a future patch because I respect the other people's opinion about liking it and I wouldn't want to ruin it for the people who do like

Look, all the designers have to do is find the old ship design program and put it back into the game. It wouldn't be to hard to toggle in between the new and the old.

When I got the v.1.1 (not beta) the shipcreator takes off all non-jewel things such as weapons and sensors. I AM aware however that this is not a bug but a "feature" added to the game. Some people like it but people, like me, dont like and find it ANNOYING!!! Because some people like it I would like it to be a feature. I have noticed that the "new ship creator" removes all primary components. Yes I know they did this on purpose. Its just so annoying to upgrade your ship 5 turns later just to re-add everything that was on it!!! Some people like it some people dont so please make it an optional feature. Thanks

Im actually so annoyed by this BUG (or whatever you want to call it) that I dont even want to play it! I guess for now I will just fall back to Age of Empires Three until the next patch is out. I sure hope a Stardock employee is watching this post.( cough cough an AVATAR)

I observed this as well. In fact I was about to make a post of this. Every one on the planet cant fight!!! Look at the conquering of nations. Eveeryone is not killed, only the soldiers are.(and some of the diplomatic leaders) Also what about the crippled. They cant fight in an actual, hightech battle! NO SIR!

I agree with darktango you play like 30 turns then you get Plasma (or something like that) and you have to remember everything that you put on it in the past!!! You should be able to remove CERTAIN components like weapons, defenses, life support, ect.

Before I got the Collectors Edition patch(or whatever it is) the starship creator worked perfectly. Now when I go to upgrade a ship it keeps the extra items (wings, decorations) and deletes the beams, and all of the stuff that takes up space!!!! HOW DO I FIX THIS?
