Not advocating piracy, just against hipocrisy. Actually, that did sound very much like you were advocating piracy. To me, anyway.

Let him play it on your computer. If he installs it on his computer that's piracy. "He'll eventually buy it" is a lame excuse. Sorry. I love this arguement. Its like if i let someone borrow my dvd its piracy, if i play it on my computer then on my dvd player its piracy. If i use a marker on the cd its piracy. If i fly the jolly roger while wearing an eyepatch a
I ordered mine the day it came out, and it arrived yesterday. It came through the United States Post Office, and I believe it was priority mail. It got here pretty fast the way I looked at it, about 1 week's time. I know I don't work for Stardock, just a regular player, but that was my experience.
This is the MAIN reason why this game needs multiplayer. I think this is one of the main reasons I have liked this game so far; the absolute lack of this attitude. I have never played anything that I thought was 'good' as a multiplayer experience. I have had people quit, I have had people act like babies, I have had people act as if they had no idea how
Little thing, but would be great for me... On the mini-map, you can see influence of each race. Only problem is, it tells you where they are from the start before you have explored. It would be great to have it that the influence areas are visible, but only for races that you've encountered or areas you've explored. It just doens't really make sense to know where they are when they don't show up on any other charts and you can't talk to them yet, etc., etc.
Thanks for the help, but I am still just a little confused. I had a serial number to begin with when I did the digital download. Then I had my serial number e-mailed to me last Thursday or so so that I could get Collector's Edition stuff. Now the game has come with a different serial number. What one is the correct one? Help, help, help.... {when I was younger so much younger than today...}
My copy of the game showed up. How do I change the serial number which I need to. This is my first time dealing with Stardock and don't know what to do next. Also, it has a card saying I can go to the Collector's edition site and download content. If I already did this through patches, etc., do I need to do it to get anything else? Thanks in advance.

Any idea when my copy of the game will show up? I just can't read PDF's on the computer, I think it's a waste of time sitting here reading something instead of in book form (you know, like, you take it with you, or in the recliner, or relaxing in a hot tub {ever tried reading a PDF in a hot tub? doesn't work too well}). I am one who really like to read the manual though, because you learn so much. I pre-ordered last Tuesday (hey, 10 AM beats the 2 PM release!), so any ideas when it
Civ IV is a great game. Go play that one. I like this one a lot, though after a week I just started a new game called "2nd full game." Setting were easy on the 1st and I beat it, now moving up to a new level with 3 races as enemies. Great game, Frogger!
Makes me wish we were making a console game Ouch! Over $2,000 on my gaming system, and someone in the industry is wishing it was on a console. There is no way I can describe how that half of the gaming industry disgusts me...most of the money, very little 'truly good games'!
Nobody else having this happen?
I used to remember what sleep was. Seriously!!! ... At least...I think I did... at one point...
I think that depends on setting like "planets=abundant," etc., but I have yet to see a Saturn in my game with more than one 'wimpy' ring. I am not happy on this one. I have tested many times, and it's always the same "wrong" Saturn. WWWWAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I want my planet fixed.
Anyone else having this happen? Only glitch I've seen so far.
Requires a login. Too much hassle. I agree. If I could just go and vote, I would (do it on ESPN.com all the time).
If you go into "My Documents/My games/GalCiv2/CurrentCustomRaceXX.raceconfig" you can delete those files and everything goes back to default. I just change the name, like putting a Z in front of it, and it does the same thing but you can keep the old file. These files are created anytime you play a race, whether or not you changed it. I don't know what the numbers correspond to, except that Terran = Race 0 and Custom = Race 10. Seems very odd, a "return to default" button
I have seen many screenshots of the sun "Sol," and Saturn always looks great. Many rings, looks real, etc. In my game, Saturn only has one ring around it and does not look like Saturn. Why? I see other planets with many rings, so it's not like my graphics can't display it. I would love to see this fixed, because it just really ruins it by not looking like Saturn. Jupiter is so cool it even has 'the great red spot,' but Saturn looks like a yellowish Neptune. Fix, please
I do most thoroughly agree. A company that cares, so nice to see! Plus, an excellent game. I remember what sleep was. At least I think I do...
A "return to default" for any options that had been changed would be WONDERFUL! Double-clicking on portrait in control-panel to center on the ship would also be WONDERFUL! Great game, thanks.
How can you build a farm over a pure ocean tile? Wouldn't that be fishing?
...I heard they's is lookin' for some dru-ids kind of dudes as well...just sayin'!!!
I had the same deal with Amazon.com, but on Tuesday (the 21st) I gave up and did the download. It worked well (was a hiccup, but not bad). I don't want to speak for them, but am pretty sure the makers of the game have already said that these first batches are all considered Collecter's editions with the goodies. They said they can track due to serial numbers which ones people have purchased. I have my parts installed already for the Collector's Edition "in-game" items. Very cool s
No. If you really want it now, digitally download it. I don't like doing it that way, but I must admit that aside from a little hiccup, everything has gone very smoothly. Playing 2nd real game, and 1st one was a one-on-one that was easy to win. This is 3 races, and I am enjoying it a bunch!
It was a joke!
