I am just saying that it doesn't sway me, and I sometimes think that they are unnecessarily mean, at times. On other times, they are too giving. Certain authors are always praised and sometimes their work is not so good. I was not one to trust them. I liked it better when everyone could vote. I'm still mad that the rating system was ruined by a few bad eggs. >
Do ratings matter to people? Honestly if it has a bad rating and I like it, I download it.

Artists are suffering because the RIAA takes most of the cash. Artists receive approx 8% of the revenue from CD sales. That is really poor. The RIAA dropped the ball with the technology. Like always, they shunned it and now they are lagging, trying to catch up. I, for one, do not want to hurt artists, that is why I encourage people to see live music, where the artists make most of their revenue. "don't throw your teddy in the corner". -- That is the best phrase that I've heard in awhile. I do agree that this site is the best and easiest to search for everything desktop on the net. I am disappointed about the ratings, I surely never abused it. Pity really, those bad apples need a slap!
I have been active on the board for over a year. The reason that you do not remember me is that until about 6 weeks ago, I was using my real name. So I believe that I do have cause to complain, but then again, it might be too much complaining, as the quality has seriously diminished over the past year. Not all, but most. Also, the attitude here is getting thick and I think that I may not want to participate in this community anymore.
There are many reasons that I have not re-signed up for my yearly subscription and this is one of them. If I cannot rate skins, then they don't deserve my 50 bucks.
