Thanks WE. I'm still thinking these storms may die out (Lidia is dead already). I'll look those other places. I remember when Iniki came here... the masking tape I put up and didn't take down in time took hours and hours to remove. joetheblow.. yes, I do have a firewall. I had to give permissions for both of them to connect the net. Seems like it would suppress the screensaver until after you answered it, though. I hope you can get it to work.

There is a screensaver called *Eye of the Storm*. The other day I kept feeling like one was coming... you can feel it when they are quite distant, or at least I can ... so I fired up that screensaver and found that there are a line of storms coming my way. Hurricane Jova, hurricane Kenneth, tropical storms Lidia and Max. Likely they will sideswipe us or burn out. I started thinking what I would do... and found that it is more complicated now than before.&

There is a man who sits at the library with birds on his sholder. Not fancy ones but regular street birds. He finds them all broken and fixes them and I guess the librarian respects that enough to let him be. He is looking up how to take care of them. I think I will take a vacation. I cant really go anywhere, really, but I have a camera now and maybe these people will let me take their pictures. The bus service is really good here so I think I will make b

I have had a problem like that with other products. What I ended up doing was to type it in. You might check and make sure and numbers lock isn't on, and that caps are not locked in. You could also request a registration number look-up just to re-verify that you are using the right number. It has been a long time since I registered something.... but when I did I remember I was trying the wrong number for some reason. If nothing else works you ca

There is this street lady I talk to sometimes. She has lived on the street for more than a decade. She always recognizes and greets me when she sees me. She is very observant (though most people don't know that because she is so delusional) and sometimes she is the only one who really seems to notice if I am in a sad or upset mood. It is real distressing, sometimes, to talk to her knowing the life she has to lead. But I know she has income; I cashed a check

There is a world down by the shore where all kinds of people can be what they are. Maybe my spot will be under the tree next to where that man who seems to be doing yoga poses is attended by a huge flock of adoring and worshiping doves. Secretly, I think that all that birdseed he hands out has more to do with it. But thats ok, its his expression. I'll let him be whatever he is and I suspect he won't mind my rants either. Heck, in the wind no one will even h

......wait... what was I thinking? The chockie planet is the very font of goodness. I am, however, going to need to step away and get things in that other world in order for a bit. Maybe spend some more time outside than I have been.

Maybe you should use your vast empathic powers to understand why Brad and others might find that insulting. Thats fine, Emily. I am not even pretending I have vast any kind of powers. I do know the people involved and some of the history. I don't think that he meant to be instulting and I don't think many of the people h

I thought I would make a little aside, here, because I think it helps to understand where feline is coming from. I know how detailed his bug reports are. I participated in some of his research to see if the bug would replicate on different machines. Some others of us did too and we did get a good feel from doing something that seemed like it would help in development. I know from talking with him that he believed that what he was doing was as mu

- Request support when needed I think that many of feline's bug reports were not merely support related. I think that many times he found bugs, reproduced them, documented them, tested them, then submitted them because he loved the product and the community and felt that he was doing his bit to help improve and develop the product in the

Hehe... I have been going back through my old posts. Oh, the memories! If you haven't done it before you might like revisiting your history here on WC. The people you played with, the things you saw and did... all worthy of a visit. https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?cmd=MyPosts

As for ObjectBar, it seems to me that with DesktopX and ObjectDock Plus in place - the issue may simply be developing enough differing functionality to go to market with it? OB has long been my favorite application after windowblinds. I keep hoping that much of the functionality it used to offer will come back. I have ObejectDock Plus, I h

I think transparency is always the best policy. I also think moderation should be documented to avoid misinterpretation, to maintain the integrity of the communication, to avoid blame and innuendo. Anytime a thread or a post is altered by any person.. the author or the moderator... there should be an automatic and unavoidable notation. That way people know.. there was a thought here that is either missing or altered now. Nothing can mysteriously 'disappear' and no one

Aspen... except for the cost. Aspen is where I would like to be. Glenwood Springs isn't bad. They have this naturally heated swimming pool open all year. It's huge and when it is cold you can swim in snowflakes and steam!
