the menuborders are not a mandatory feature in a WB skin. All menus that would use the borders are also skinned with the menubackground image. so the menuborders not being there is not a problem. Are you having a problem with all menus, or certain ones? Send me the screenshot that you sent to the newsgroup (I don't do newsgroups...sorry) at [email protected] and I'll try to see what you're talking about.

I think the problem with the xp themes, is that so many of them are updated almost constantly, seemingly just to keep them in the new upoads category. That's not happenning as much as it was a while back though.

Check your skins list in the WB configration dialogue. Chances are it's in there already. The skins in some of the sections here are set up to install automatically when you click the download link.

well, I finally broke down and installed workshelf on my system, since everytime I upload an NS theme, I get a bunch of people asking for WS too. But now I have a problem. I've got all the images made, and I have configured it (going by essorant's instructions in the tutorial at winstep), but I can only get the tab images to show when I apply it to WS. you couldn't possibly be pressing "apply skin" because there is no "apply skin" button. there are "preview skin" and "apply changes" buttons. Which one are you actually pressing ( I know it sounds too simple, I know people who have made that mistake before, so I really am being serious)? You do need to keep the windowblinds program runnig in the background, but you should be able to close the configuration dialogue box without the actual skin disappearing. I'm having a problem wiht an NS theme I am workin on and was hoping someone wouldn't mind helping me out a little. The problem is, when I pull a menu down from a horizontal menu, the endcap looks like it's trying to tile itself rather than staying straight. but when I open up a sub menu from the one pulled down from the H menu, it straightens up and looks the way it is supposed to. I have more of a question than a comment. How will you be detecting that a user has registered a specific app? Will that be done with the web integration (such as that in WB) or by comparing the names of the users to that in the stardock databse? The reason I am asking, is what if someone here is registered under their own name, but their software is registered to thier spouse, or a family member? Just curious *s*

Koasati found that site a week or two ago and noticed a few of my skins were there too. I e-mailed the web-master and asked politely for him to remove my work, and he did so with no problems. He even apologized for the mis-undstanding. So at least he's willing to be decent about it once contacted.
