god their service sucked before, and their employees knew nothing about the products the sold. now theyre going for even lower wage employees? awesome.

that center pic makes me wonder why microsoft hasn't created a new paint for vista. doesn't have to be a photoshop or paintshop pro, just something simple for file conversion and basic editing.
1.) stardock (brad) previewed the theme, but did not release it 2.) stardock (brad) acknowledge that their initial releases were 'lacking', not their best stuff and were holding onto the better stuff for later stardock made no mention in either case that it would be a premium release and cost money. you at the very least gave them no reason to assume otherwise, and honestly I don't care how you try to angle it, I think you intentionally mislead people to raise anticipation/exci
curiosity is a little different from true mass interest. i'm not judging or anything, but after seeing the couple low resolution busy examples to kick off the product (and i downloaded every one), im not terribly impressed or overwhelmed, and in fact back to a single frame background. hopefully some subtle dynamic backgrounds will change my opinion, or just really well done high res-widescreen videos.
sooooo. are the above featured dreams not available yet? and also as a suggestion, widescreen may still be in a minority, but its kind of a standard now. are we going to see official .dreams in widescreen for images that aren't dynamic?
so, do these above examples come with the download? im not seeing em
good for them
what a clever idea. designers can actually create something without knowledge of the often confusing code backend?
screenshots are getting better, less cluttered and more appealing now link the background
shame it came to this, but for the best i supposed.
looks great, its a welcome improvement.
yeah, stardock really fell down on the subsscription offers, i resubscribed again because I want to support the site, but not for the bonus skins or any of the other fluff (pictures book etc). if they had a cheaper version, with less fluff and just bandwidth/basics, id be willing to bet they would've seen a lot more subscriptions. regardless, very few of a whole lot bothered. i think that speaks volumes about the community.
how dissapointing, so many site visitors that couldn't give a rip van winkle about the site. its not new though, that same stigma has been around since the sites launch, and its the reason I've never wanted to be part of this "community". i support the site, but its only for the sake of the skin authors and stardock, not the other members.
this worked for my on my second machine. nice find the odd thing is though, I'm running Norton on both machines with same settings, one machine it was blocked, one it wasnt
i dont like how they removed the options from properties dialog window.
on another note, the machine that does have this working, rollups arent working with some arrow skin. tried setting it to right click and double click.
i have, and same problem =/ it is working on my laptop now without quirks however, after doing uninstall first, then reinstall.
installed a few times on my play rig (ati x800 xl), normal windows home, and it wont load any skins at all. i uninstalled, reinstalled, same thing.
this thing isnt loving my 6800 ultra in my xps2 laptop all kinds of random flukes, and even switching to normal themes after requires i load it a few times. wasnt too bright on my part, shouldve installed this on my play rig, not work horse.
Brad, is there anyways you could come up with an alternative package? I renewed my subscription again, but it was purely to help the site. I haven't cared for any of the free skins, dont use personal pages, photo galleries, or anything like that. Perhaps if you had another version that just covered the basic costs like bandwidth, without all the 'fluff', for a little bit less $$.
i'll renew my wincustomize again, not sure if i can afford to do OD as well though
thats very slick. i hope something like this, or more likely what follows it, can perhaps diminish our reliance on paper.
thats pretty pricey considering they want to replace it in 4 years. Gates said the PS3 was the ferrari, but if they dont charge much more than the xbox, microsoft just shot itself in the foot.
i meant the wallpapers, and thanks for response green.
