I think the passive XP for stationing a city wouldn't necessarily make exploring useless. First of all, passive XP for stationing could be tied to people who have the governing traits or talents (or class) so only those who need to remained stationed will remain stationed. Secondly, I still think you'll level faster and get more XP for exploring PLUS you gain awesome items. Besides a Merchant who earns you money might not have any reason to be outside exploring caver

Better quests, more interesting classes, and more interesting abilities. EDIT : What pad152 just said, dynasties, agendas, and kidnapping. On that note, it would be cool to capture defeated enemy heroes and hold them as prisoners like in Mount and Blade. The agenda thing would be cool too with some interesting hidden tr
Yeah, I think there needs to be more "Leadership" or "Administrative" perks to sovereigns. I don't think EVERY sovereign should be out on the field and fighting all the time. There are a few perks like this such as the Administration perk but a majority of them don't encourage you to remain in a city. I'd like to see perks for Merchants that increase city income (if stationed), perks for Governors that increase growth and reduce unrest, perks for Researchers that add to re
Yeah, future episodes will be in HD. I'm still figuring all this out. Thanks for the feedback guys! Also, more commentary, more describing things, more details, more planning, more thoughts, more fancy editing stuff (like I started in Episode 3)? Again, thanks for the feedback! :)
I'm terrified of bears and the Buchermen because of the maul ability. It is INCREDIBLY overpowered, especially against low defense or dodge characters.
I've started to get some "Lets Play" episodes uploaded on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0x8r1soQb0&context=C3d3832dADOEgsToPDskLIAnvemghVx45lPLEWBfO7 I hope someone watches them and enjoys them, lol. EDIT : Playlist- <a href="http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL
After attempting this all day, I've got it! The first episode of my "Let's Play". Hope everyone enjoys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0x8r1soQb0&context=C3d3832dADOEgsToPDskLIAnvemghVx45lPLEWBfO7 Also, lemme know about things I can change. My first recording and LP so it's all WIP. <p style="padding-left: 30p
idk, seeing the whole picture it seems that the enemy city has a dedicated couple of tiles that belong to them that overrule the outpost's influence.
Personally, I'd like a few (keyword here is few) things to randomly spawn, such as lairs or resources. Lairs should only spawn outside city zones or influence though.
I miss the dynasty system too. Who cares if it's a small feature, it's fun!
Quoting seanw3, reply 4"- Unit/Army still can't upgrade units." Yes they can. I had a group of militia at level 3 and wanted to upgrade them to Red Guard, how do you do this?
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks" HOWEVER, you <s
For me, both ways work fine. I wouldn't mind building two things at once (maybe at a higher cost or longer production) but the "one-at-a-time" building works fine too. Personally, I think I'd prefer multiple production...
I disagree about stats. In a time where EVERY OTHER GAME dumbs it down and makes it simple I'm relieved to actually play a game with some meat on the bare bones. Stats make the heroes and units much more unique. However, there could be more expanded on the units, stats, and abilities to really make them more unique from one another. I think only some heroes are overpowered and that's only really a lategame issue, IMO. I don't like, however, how so many heroes are
I like the idea that Outpost's influence is projected and defended by it's city's level and proximity. I think that'd fix it.
I'm trying to do a "Lets Play" for FE (it's kinda fun) but I'm having some trouble with it. I'm using FRAPS to record the video/play but I CANNOT get Windows Movie Maker to recognize the files (just shows up as blank). Anyone have any ideas or alternatives to WMM... or FRAPS? Planning to put them on YouTube, don't really want to explore LiveStreaming yet. EDIT : Took me all day but I discovered Wind
In Galactic Civilizations 2 there was a small button where you could select which direction a ship would spawn or leave. I'd like to see a simular city option here as it would fix this issue. Also, the "spawn in city" option comes in handy for the time.
This worked brilliantly for WoM and will, no doubt, work for FE.
Excellent work yet again.
I think right now the only real thing I'm modding is my Sovereign and that's just to get a more unique appearance or start. However, I'd like to see Dynastys again... Looking forward to seeing what we can do with Charisma, nice work Jshores.
There can never be too many modding forums!
I think any penalty to a fallen hero should stick with that hero and shouldn't effect cities. I think loss of some experience is also a possible good idea and I like the idea of longer re-spawn times.
Maybe immobilize them for a few turns - say that they have to stop and rest after being knocked unconscious in battle. It's a little milder than getting permanent disabilities (let's save that for the battles you actually lose, so there's a clear difference) but it'd slow down your offensive if it happens, enough to make you want to protect your champions rather than treating them as expendable because there's n
I was hoping to see someone had reverse engineered Master of Orion and totally re-vamped it or something (not that it needed much work). But yeah, capturing ships... and scrapping them. Too bad they didn't have more security?
I played the PC Demo and enjoyed the graphics, conversation system, and thought the character creation was decent. However, the inventory, controls, and combat were abysmal. I don't think I'll be going back to it. The worst part of it was that I could see and feel elements of WoW, Dragon Age, and even Fable in the design. Unfortunately, at least to me, they missed the mark.
I would like to have the option to make tons of weakling soldiers that take very little time to train or make some very strong ones that can go toe to toe with heroes. As far as what to do right now, just get that building from citylevelup that gives you gold wile not producing. A very useful building.
Agreed with Sean here. Asymmetrical warfare is a reality and should be displayed in-game (
It'd be nice to be able to sort of "fast travel" through cities. It can be annoying to go around them. On another note, I've noticed Caravans sometimes getting "hidden" inside cities.
