You asked a good question. A screenshots main purpose is to show others how they can change the look of their desktop and to showcase an authors hard work. The nicest thing to do is tell the name of the skin and author and leave a link to it so if someone wants what they see it easy for them to get. I did know to ask for permission, and when you found out you owned up to it and know to ask. I don't think fairyy will have any problem with this at all!
