I do download DVDs and have never had the need for a DM. Is scheduling possible without a DM? Because, I don't download anything when I need my PC for my personal work. I prefer to schedule them and when I sleep at night, my PC wake up from stand-by mode and getting connected to the internet it starts

Yes, out now. Available here Link [Size: 5.87MB] But, it was an accident that instead of full version beta3 was available from the server. So, they called it back.
On August 30, 2005 Winamp 5.1 Beta 3 was available on the Winamp servers for download. It was just an accident though unexpected. So far I know, the link was http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client/winamp51_pro.exe [No more available]. So, it was not clear to us that it was a beta release. Later on CraigF, an Administrator, declared on Win
I just switched to DOWLOAD EXPRESS Tried it. It also recognizes a file larger than 4 GB. So many DM recognizes it. Then why not DAP or FG?
but FreedownloadManager has pause, resume and schedule capabilities, as far as I remember, and it recognises files well over 4mb. I once downloaded a 4gb Linux OS Tried it. Yes it recognizes files larger than 4 GB. Nice DM.
Why would one need a download manager if one uses broadband? It is needed, if you have any experience of downloading DVDs on a professional basis, no need to describe the need of a DM.
I use Getright and I've never had any problems with it; however, the largest file I've downloaded, a knoppix ISO image file, was about >700 mb. Yes after your post I tried GetRight. It supports larger downloads above 4GB. Could be a good alternative.
What about Leechget? Will it recognize 4GB or more? just curious. being on rural dialup, I doubt I'll consider trying to dl something that size....well, maybe...if it's something really really cool. Neither LeechGet nor FlashGet supports download size larger than 4GB.
think Tman got a call to fix this problem while he was on vacation. Could be.
Now everything is back, but new entries are deleted.
give it a try if you're looking for a new download manager, the website is at www.amazesoft.com. I have already tried FlashGet. It is also unable to recognize a file size larger than 4 GB.
I once downloaded a 4gb Linux OS in one hit without problems on ADSL. I think it is still available at Topdownloads.com Thanks for the information. I shall try it.
It moans about the license having expired I have already experienced once.
where's Tman? Is he on vacation? May be.

else i would get my money back I agree. I shall write a mail to the DAP support team describing the failurity of recognizing a file larger than 4 GB . Don't know whether they would respond or not.
