Now now Wayward-Fish, let's not persecute Iconoclast for his beleifs now shall we? That would go against your religion now wouldn't it? In theory, yes. In practice, no.

My great Aunt had to have one of hers removed, and had a "falsey" in it's place. I'll never forget the sight of her using it as a pin cushion when she sewed! (but that's a side issue of my own! Yes, that explains a lot. hahaha jk

I was reading about Deism when I found this article. I'm not going to say much about it because I don't follow politics very much (as some of you may have already guessed). So I'll just provide you with the link to the page where I found it and you can check it out and then those of you who follow politics can discuss it among yourselves. There are links on that page

My dictionary defines treason as 1. The betrayal of a trust. 2. The offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or his family. there's no such thing as free speech; just what's acceptable, and what's not depends

I deleted wayward-fish's post for name-calling. And I am going to blacklist him. Nice language for a Christian. Get down on your knees and beg forgiveness. You are a perfect example of why myself and many other people turn their backs on religion, and I'm pretty sure that every Christian who has been posting to this article is sorry that they are associated with you.

I'm sorry you're having problems like this, Dr. Guy. I wonder why it is that when society tries to right past wrongs, it always goes too far in the other direction. I haven't read anything about whether or not the court knows she's certifiable. I assume she went to therapists, but I guess the doctor/patient confidentiality thing is a problem. As for the beatings, can't you get someone to investigate them?

Not being perfect is forgetting to set the alarm and getting up late. You need to ask for no forgiveness for that. But making a mistake is not robbing a bank. That is wrong, and you knew it before you did it. That is what you are asking forgiveness for. Not being human, but making wrong decisions. Free Will, remember?<

excuse me for expecting manners. not observing convention: i suppose that mere mortal beings perilously disregarding standards is not considered pompous, but rather customary around here. You need to learn punctuation. There should not be a period after "manners" or a colon after "convention." I thin

You are not asking for forgiveness for being human and imperfect, you are asking for forgiveness for your mistakes. We make mistakes because we're human and imperfect. In the Bible, did God not ask someone's forgiveness and he promised not do it (whatever it was) again? He gave us free will. He made

It was some of the liberal, stoned, hippy rock and folk groups of the sixties and seventies such as Steppenwolf, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul and Mary who knew about the corruption in big business and politics and tried to tell everyone about it, but the only people who believed them were their fans. Watergate proved them right.

George Carlin said, "Once you've convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky, you can convince them of anything." Think about it. Bush is a Christian. He uses other Christians to support the bullshit he spouts. democrat4life: will you please learn where to put periods? It shouldn't be up to the rest of us to interpret what you're saying.

"Once you've convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky, you can convince them of anything." - George Carlin Anyway, this article isn't about whether or not I believe God exists. I've already stated that I believe he at least used to exist. It's those of you who are arguing that twisted it.

Those who constantly try to prove God doesnt exist are the ones strangling for answers. You have it backwards. Since there is no prove God exists, those who don't believe challenge believers to prove he DOES exist.

It might be, Axis. Thanks. My dictionary defines it as "a movement or system of thought advocating natural religion based on human reason rather than revelation, emphasizing morality, and in the 18th century denying the interference of the Creator with the laws of the universe."
