mmmm, seems to me the drive(s) were lost from two possible issue... When originally doing the back up they worked. When physically changing the jumpers and possibly the order of the drives on the cable or removing one completely when the slave was changed to Master. Things were moved about inside the box. Lending the checking of, jumpers, cables being seated on the drives and also because of a dealing with ribbons and not having a huge amount of room floppy c
do you have an example on the net to link to? Just the KE or the whole coat of arms style on the international site? [Message Edited]
mm, silly question, are both drives installed and if so, are two drives set with the Master Jumper enabled? also, have you checked to make sure the cables connectors are seated completely? on the hard drive ribbon and the floppy ribbon cables... that is [Message Edited
questions: do you have both drives installed? if both drives are installed is it automatically booting from the origional drive? if it does, if you load Administrative Tools does it show both drives and are the partitions *active* ( you might have to IMPORT the Drive into your drive tables for the OS even if it does show up in the list ) if they are, have you tried booting with only one drive installed *the new one* if you did, did it post, see t
/me in best John Wayne voice impression " Wahl, then why don't you just eat me pilgram... I have a laptop and a desktop. Can I install the software on multiple machines? yes but you can only have the software loaded and function on one system at a time <img sr
Not sure, but unless you've bought it twice it is not supposed to be installed and operating on two different computers at the same time. In other words, A single purchase is licensed to be operating on a single system at any given moment.
Y'all do a lot more positive things beyond this site for some than you will ever be told or shown.
not sure but I am betting you could modify the code used to check on the User Name being registered to a new account, edit it so that it does an error check on the email accress used. " enter email address : check email address : already used y/n = y: break function, explain that email already in use, restart function from start n: continue function to compleation " kinda thing <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/inde
HEY! I resemble that remark
If you are not going to program on it, heck dink the account You can mess with settings and such to enable automatic logon for any account, But why mess with that when killing that account does it in one step and you don't have to mess with it again? <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.
Na, it's Brain Surgery
true, I was speaking more of using restore points but then again, all of us learn new things at different times with things we have spent working with from their begining. Heck I still think.feel plug and pray was/is the worst thing that happened to the PC.. <A HREF="https://www.
it isn't rocket science...
I like it, very nice. registered, then attempted to register a second time, error checking found my account explained I would need a different user name. might want to make it so only 1 user name per email address... going to go look around a bit and see if I come across anything <
ah HA! and you said "Not me" oh wait, you said cause you're an admin, but you agreed with him that I'm a weenie (in so many words) hehehe [Message Edited]
as far as it not finding the lined files (programs) goes, that generally is caused by reboot that takes place which is not done so the system saves the settings... meaning the registry got screwed up where it points to applications... there are utilities which can fix that, but, the fastest way to do it would be to pick a restore point before you installed NIS... Then logout and login under an admin if need be, then install and follow the instructions on the screen to
you need a software firewall along with a hardware firewall because of exploits and such on the web... When your browser, ftp client, irc client and so forth makes a valid connection you open ports to the net which can be seen a validated by the firewall depending on amny different things. a hardware firewall will keep things down to no one coming in raw and or off the net to an extent, in combination with the software fire wall you will be secure... as far as it hosin
