I experimented with a 3D red-blue wb skin a while ago, it worked a little, focused window poped out in front, unfocused windows fell way behind. The only problem was that although the window borders were 3d, nothing else was, so everything other than the borders was ablurry purple mess. Icons are quite hard to see with those glasses on.

So will I NOT be able to install WB5 in my machine that ISN'T connected to the net?

thomassen - You realy should finish softGUI III, I's very much to my taste
How long does it usually take people to finish their skins? I've been working on mine for a couple of weaks now, motivation is my main problem.
I thought it might be fun for some of us to share screenshots of unfinished skins and perhaps offer eachother encouragment to continue with them. I'll start with this,

I want to have an image between the last tab in the tab set, and the end of the tab border. I would like the effect of a thick line under the tabs, but because lots of software places items near the tabs border, I was attempting this in the tab image instead. however, i cant think how to put an image past the last tab. The above image, is similar to the effect i want.
Weird question here, but, Can a DLL tell a button what size to be? I would like a dll to return a value, and have a button/image resized depending on that value. Is it possible?
Ive got most things working now, (although i copied over some desktiop.ini's that windows needs, so i couldnt install new fonts for a while Deoes anyone know if i can make the background image not scroll?

But I havent set the system attribute on any f the files, and some of them work, but some dont.
I'm using the followin in desktop.ini to set a wallpaper for a folder, the only problem is that it only works in some folders. [{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}] Attributes=1 IconArea_Image=c:\texture.bmp IconArea_Text=0x00000000 Can anyone explain why, and if it

All around the internet, there are loads of icons for download in PNG format. I was wondering is there a way for windows to use these icons? Is it possible that a future version of IP will support PNG icons?
I found Windowpaper, it only adds a wallpaper to a single folder, and as an option it can add wallpaper to the folders in that folder, but not those inside them. Not ALL of them. I also found aprogram called activicons (dontremember who made it), it replaces more icons than icon packager, but for some reason refuses to change folder icons.
Does anyone know of any FREEWARE apps that can do the following? * Change loads if icons the icon packager does. * Add wallpaper to folder backgrounds (preferable for ALL folders, not one at a time). Thankyou.
Laptop screens only look good at there max resolution, boot skins are displayed at 640x480 pixels, most laptops start at aroun 1024x768, so the imagewill seem resized, as 1 image pixel will be larger than 1 screen pixel. Because you can not shade half a screen pixel, some pixels will be represented by more than one pixel, others by just one, depending on how the image is resized. At lowere resolutions, laptops tend to not look so good. you can redu
It's not a skin studio thing, its a windowblinds thing. Stardock seem to have removed the feature.
I remember in WB 3.x, skins were able to change explorer background images, but this is no longer possible in 4.x, although the option is still in skin studio (free). I was wondering why this option was removed, and if it will return in the future? I would like to add explorer images to a skin i'm working on, but am unable to. Can anyone help with this? Someone from stardock perhaps?
Why are these features not around anymore, surely the explore backgrounds would make a lot of skins a little better?
