I agree with you by and large. In fact, I do not see this issue of WMD as noe of just misleading the House. Busn and Blair set out to create a pretext for war using the fear of weapons of mass destruction. They knew and the world knew the Saddam was telling the truth when he said that Iraq did not possess such weapons. For waging war against humanity and for being responsible for the death of nearly 100,000 Iraqi civillians Blair must be tried as a

The recent death of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida came as a bolt from the blue. He declared that there is no Truth everything is just a discourse. Is his death true. The News of his death, if true, means that there are absolute truths in this world and knowledge is about the quest for truth. There is nothing outside the "TEXT" he once declared. By

The UK is a parliamentary democracy, but under Blair it has becme more Presidential than parliamentary. This means that instead of the House of Commons playing a role in deciding the major issues of the day, the PM's personal staff and the unelected body of advisors play a major role in policy formulation. The failure of this model of decision making is foun
Why get worked up over an innocent remark. Kerry is a war hero who faught in a war and did not hide behind the clout that a powerful congressman can provide a wayward son. The word kid is only used in a gesture of affection and there is nothing to get so hot under the collar.
Seeing your pictures reminded me of the time I spent at Hawaii. In the Summer of 1982 I visited Kaui and Molokai when I was a graduate student at UH Manoa. How about a Setting sun against the back drop of the Diamond Head.
In September 2001 the Twin Tower attack took place and Afghaistan was rightly identified as a Terrorist State and the UN gave the sanction for a "regime change". There is no evidence that Saddam had any hand in the tragedy. In fact he abhored the brand of Islamic fundamentalism represented by the Taliban and their supporters,In fact, he had tried to weld a mult
Predicting the political fortunes of any candidate is touch and go even in the best of times. Yet the recent disclosures have made the Americans decide that a change is better. Afterall George II took tha country to war without reason. A regime change in the US will be good for the world just as the regime change in Iraq was good.
The goodwill and sympathy created by 911 was frittered away by George II and his merry men when they made tall, and as it turned out false claims the Saddam has WMD. He had none. There is no evidence to link Iraq with Al Qeda. In fact, applying the logic of guilt by association will make for a hilarious scenario, one in which the Texan Oil, Bandits and certain Saudi families have common names on their Board of Directors. Let us admit it, Bush thou
As far as Iraq is concerned the Administration was quite aware that there were no WMD in Iraq. The CIA is on record stating tbat the consignment of Alluminium rods which Powell in his notorious UN speech held up as evidence for making a centafuge turns out to be of the gauge to make small weapons. It is unlikely that the CIA was not aware of this fact.. As for Blair he, unlike George II, has successfully covered up, his governemnt's complicity in
The attack on the Twin Towers on September 112001 was a major event in the history of Afganistan in that it led to the collapse of the so called Taliban regime. The world rightly condemned the barbaric and savage attack on a high profile civillian target. Yet the fact remains that the Al Qaeda and the Mujhahudeen were essentially creatures of the espionage estab
There is every indication that John Kerry is making inroads even in traditional republican areas. With less than four weeks left for Election Day the undecided voters will make their minds. Further, Ralh Nader is not going to pich uo the antiBush votes, they will fall only in favor of Kerry. What about the CNN poll. It also went in favor of Kerry. At this point George II is trailing by2 points, and I do understand that it is not a great lead for K
The latest opinion polls are any indication, the John Kerry campaign is picking up steam, and for the first time since the Florida debates Kerry is way ahead of George II. It is time for the Kerry policy wonks to put their heads together and piece together a comprehensive agenda. Here is my take, for what it is worth. First, the badly tattered middle east policy
This exchange only reminds me the Micheal Moore was absolutely spot on in Colombine High when he made a fervent plea for gun control. If one of you did not have the gun then this exchange could have taken a different course. Removing the sign from the Lawn is bad, but to say thaT IT DESERVES A bullet is far far worse. GROW UP
I agree with the sentiments expressed in this site. Yet the most pathetic thing about the Kerry campaign is that it does not call for an impeachment of Bush for taking the US to war on patently absurd grounds. If Clinton was impeached for far less why not Bush.

The life of a soldier is nasty and at times cruelly cut short, but I do respect a person who gives his life for a cause, but he must be told the truth. If we look at the World War II so many young persons gave thei today so that we can have a tomorrow.. This is not a cliche.Providing Free rations is not the issue, but taking a man away from his family and putting him in the middle of nowhere and he does not know what he is fighting for.
Thanks. Yet the Truth must be told not once but over and over again. Anyway even the Republican neocons are slowly becoming aware that the War is going nowhere and Kerry is coasting Home to VICTORY.
Almost all international obververs including repected News Magazines like the Economist, Newsweek and Figaro are complaing about the unacceptable levels of civillian casualities in this conflict and the increasing toll on the US and coalitiion forces. The threshold of sustainable casualities has been crossed and it is time to walk away leaving tne UN to set the stage for a legitimate governemnt. The victory of John Kerry is assured and this statesma
I think that MM deserves a round of applause as he was the only major figure in Hollywood who dared to say that the Administration was lying on the WMD issue. His films deal with themes like gun control and thought control which are ignored.
I have also brought out some of the points in my Florida Debate and After, ablog posted on this web. I felt that Bush made a very poor show in the debate and it was Kerry who came across looking very presidential.. He had complete mastery over the nitty gritty of policy and all Bush II could do was squirm and grimace like a cagewd animal.
The War in Iraq is as good as lost. With every passing day tne support within Iraq for the American war effort is coming down. The real reason for this is the dispropotionate use of force in civillian areas by the "coalition forces". Whole blocks of residential areas have been destroyed in the spate of attaks in Fallujah. The American do not venture anywhere near
I think that Kerry out performed Bush in evry manner. The argument is in my Blog. All we cuold sdee was Bush grimacing each time Kerry brought out the Iraq War. Bush says that Kerry voted in favor of the War and is therefore inconsistent. The fact of the mat
