One has to wonder why the reasonable ones aren't being heard Oooh! Oooh! listen to me! I'm a reasonable liberal (a far left liberal, but still reasonable for the most part)!

Well, as a real live canuck, I would say that we aren't jealous of America. Most Canadians are proud to be Canadians, with our tolerant society, hockey (damn NHL lockout), beer and socialized medicine (interesting combination, but we're an interesting bunch). And we don’t hate America. America has been our closest friend for years. It’s just Bush we don’t like. And that sentiment towards some international leaders isn’t new in any nation. But peo

I have a couple suggestions, nothing that will magically change the world or anything, but: 1) Paper trail - paper trails are necessary for recounts. Any sort of paper trail will back up election results and make sure people know who they voted for and that their vote will be counted. We use a pencil and paper ballot up here in Canada, and our last election went without a hitch (no hanging chads, unverifyable electronic voting machines).

It seems to me that we have somewhere along the line allowed liberal to mean whatever the DNC says, and conservative equal the RNC viewpoint. Also, the RNC tries to define liberalism and the DNC tries to define conservatism, in order to vanquish their opponents.

What do Bush and the CIA have in common? They both have faulty intelligence What's the difference between Cheney and Saddam? One will torture and kill innocent Iraqis just so he can get rich off Iraqi oil money, and the other has a moustache.

Mine was also just as I thought: Your political compass Economic Left/Right: -5.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.03 In terms of world leaders, I was closest to the Dalai Lama. In presidential candidates, no one was really close. I was economically slightly closer to Nader than the Socialist Party's Walt Brown, but more Libertarian than all the candidadtes (including, ironically, Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Par

If this is true, who created God?---latour999 Questions like this have no meaning. God simply is, and always has been. There is no "direct" evidence of God...those of us who believe don't need any. That's why we proudly call it "faith". In the bible you would see that 'god' is always a light or something to that effect. But anywa

He set some kind of record kill prisoners over there and the people loved him for it he's got 155 (including his fvederal executions), just 13 short of Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Bomber. He even executed a Canadian, Stanley Faulder, against the Vienna Conventions.

Eh....I don't think he's smart enough to be the anti-Christ...He said he reads the Bible everyday...and how old is he?...Shouldn't he have finished the book by now?... ~Zoo He probably doesn't read it himself, he just gets Cheney to read it to him.

And you *know* this to be a fact, how? No other countries who might attack us even have the technological capability to create a missile shield. Look at Iraq. They couldn't even get a plane in the air during the invasion, never mind shoot down 1500 incoming nuclear missiles. Just look at the differen

If you have someone who says that YOU cannot have guns, but also says 'but I can be trusted with a gun since I never use it unless I have to'. Will you feel reassured? I most certainly will not. I agree. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" al

Knowing that life only comes from life, you cannot account for life without a Life-giver! This scientific law requires a living Creator! Well, I did a little research, and found this on a reliable internet encyclopedia: Sea-based ICBMs The US Navy currently has 15 Ohio-class submarines deployed. Each submarine is equipped with a complement of 24 Trident missiles, eight with Trident I missiles, and ten with Trident II missiles. Approximately 12 U.S. attack submarines are equipped to launch, but do not currently carry, nuclear Tomahawk missiles. Sea-launch weapons make up the

Interesting sidenote on Bush and so-called Christian values Bush claims that he supports Christian values, yet as governor of Texas, he has executed more people than any other governor since capital punishment was reinroduced in the 1970s and earned the nickname "Texecutioner." Doesn't the sixth commandment say something about no killing?

Remember that the only reason we keep so many is to deter somone from using one against us. It was only through mutually assured destruction that a nuclear war never happened between the USA and the USSR. How many do you need to prevent someone from using one on you? Enought to destroy the whole world
