I have a couple suggestions, nothing that will magically change the world or anything, but: 1) Paper trail - paper trails are necessary for recounts. Any sort of paper trail will back up election results and make sure people know who they voted for and that their vote will be counted. We use a pencil and paper ballot up here in Canada, and our last election went without a hitch (no hanging chads, unverifyable electronic voting machines).
