I just purchased and DL'd this suite. All I can say is this is the best skin suite ever created! Nothing compares to this. This will be the new standard upon which all skinners strive for, but alas, never reach. I am in awe. My hat is off to Treetog and Alexandrie. I'll be waiting for that HVD theme!

Do you guys have no idea how hypocritical you are? You have this huge thread bashing custo.org. You can’t even see that what you're doing is pretty much the same thing you’re accusing them of. The only real difference being that instead of a bunch of teenagers, you're a bunch of 30 and 40 year olds who use more eloquent words (well, at least some of you). But the actions are the same. At least it’s somewhat understandable coming from a cocky kid who thinks he knows it all. What’s your excuse? Th

I see Winstyles as a benefit to the skin user who wants to simplify switching his desktop themes on the fly. However, I don’t necessarily agree that any of these themes should be uploaded to the internet. That is where the problem lies. I already see some Winstyles themes here that were “packaged” and uploaded by someone other than the original skin author/s. Why condone the inevitable? There will be rips. The very nature of this program assures that. I like the idea of Winstyles, but t

Ok, it was a skin by morph named 'ReVersion'. I found the Litestep theme on different sites, but the WB skin isn't posted anywhere. But you can see what it looks like in the SS for Litestep.

I'm not aware of any program that does that for you on Win2k. But VirtualPlastic has all the info you need in regards to customizing your computer. http://www.virtualplastic.org/html/logo_scr.html

Stubear, HVD is now resolution independent, however, it's still up to the theme author to implement that feature into his/her theme (much like LS). The second problem you listed is obsolete. I don't even recall HVD having that problem in the past, but it's definitely not an issue now. It's running every one of my apps right after the install without any need for making changes. Of course, you will always have a theme author that has all of his apps installed on drive "D" or something. But even t

Not only is HVD even more functional now, the default theme (SimpleStuff) is absolutely gorgeoous. Everybody should give this version a try. You won't regret it. Snowman, my thoughts exactly.

Just download the ICQ Plus program and install it. http://www.icqplus.org/ Of course, you need to have ICQ already installed. They are 2 different programs.

All of that was discussed in a previous thread. According to the powers that be, Litestep is ok to list here because it's a free app (i.e., not competeing with Stardock). NextStart is ok to list here because it brings in many users looking for nextStart skins, which in turn introduces them to Stardock apps. Personally, I feel that Hoverdesk should fall into the same category as NextStart in terms of consideration for listing it here on this site. But it's not going to happen. <

Isn't this just another version of the title/honorific thing that most people shot down when this site first opened? Not everybody wants or needs to show their status to the community. Everybody here already knows who the "real" contributors are. This is the kind of stuff that bums me out about this site. Frogboy is so hung up on status ratings that when one vision doesn't pan out the way he wants, he invents a new one. I don't see any top skinners here asking for more recognition.

Here comes China. This looks like it was custom made for her. This is pretty cool indeed. Although it does suck up those cpu's, it's something cool to run when you have comapny.
