This (above post) is a big problem right now- it feels like Stardock is trying to have it both ways, on something where you have to make a hard decision either way. The current implementation is actually worse than what it was before 1.4, as there are now extra steps to cheese the game.

how would I go about removing the Bureau of Labor from the game entirely, and changing Coercive to something else (I'm thinking a diplomacy bonus of some sort)
I don't like the wheel- it forces unfun micromanagement. Rest of the changes are positive, but that's a huge negative for me. After playing a bit more 1.5, the positives are there as well. Enough that it tempts me to get into modding. I suspect if you reverted things, you'd find folks saying the same thing- that a lack of wheel would make them stop playing. So I understand you can't win either wa
Disappointed, perhaps even angry at the update reverting 1.4 and actually making things worse. Major step backwards.
I would love to see SK features in a game with the replayability of a traditional 4X.
GalCiv3 needs to decide one way or the other on this- it seems no one is happy with what the current change. I think a slim majority want the wheel out entirely, but I'm biased. My argument for taking it out is the AI work involved, and those AI man-hours could be spent improving the other facets of the game which are more fun. Does anyone find the wheel one of the most fun things about GalCiv3? It really se
I have to agree, I want the wheel gone forever, and this feels like a step back. I'd even take the large empire penalty if it meant no bureau of labor and Krynn trait being changed back to where it was. I won't say "this patch looks terrible", but the game moved in the steps I wanted with 1.4, and now it's moving back away from it, so for me this is terrible, and much like the above poster, I've been borderline on this game for a while- I don'
They announced a week or two ago that they would be ending for now. What I'm wondering if whether support has ended, and whether there will be no expansion (I'd understand if no expansion- it didn't sell well, but I'd want to know now if that's the case) Also will LH 2.0 be finished.
For some reason SK didn't take off. Maybe folks were unhappy with LH, and see SK as one too many sequels- it's Ultra Elemental Super Hyper EX Turbo plus Alpha to most folks I know. As much as I love SK, I'd understand if Stardock wrote it off, and tried a sequel in 5 years instead. I'd love to see the modern Stardock design in the Elemental world from scratch instead of dealing with the relic code and reception of War of Magic.&nb
Wonder what people think about the Stamina system? So far it doesn't seem very fun to me, though it might have been necessary to keep initiative from being the end-all decider. I do like the AI improvements and bugfixes, though they have made the game a lot more brutal than it was before.
My big request: get rid of the global spending wheel. I think it hurts more than helps. I've had a hard time getting into GalCiv3 so far, though much of this is due to Sorcerer King.
I recommend the above. Plenty of 4X's about, not many games like this.
Nothing on the global page is doing to go away. But the per planet microing is all going to go away.
Is that 100% confirmed? I want the global spending to go away as well- I think that is also an unfun level of micro, though that might be a minority opinion. I've always felt the economy was the weak point of GalCiv, and it's still a mess to me (IMO) in 3.</p
I really would like the AI make "reads" on what the player will do based on what happened in previous games- sometimes (not every time- because that would also be predictable) I think that would help with AI predictability problems, which exist even in the best game AI right now. Personally, I'd like to see you go farther and get rid of empire-wide spending wheels, make it more like the Elemental games, but I expect that's a very minority
Shame. Sorcerer king is a game that could really use modding, moreso than Stardock's other games, because new scenarios/goodies are the lifeblood of this game.
You need both keys now, not just one.
From what I remember (I haven't played in a week) - it was everything.
Scrolls is going to die in a few months. Faeria was really, really good in the last beta.
100% OJ had a competitive tournament. A friend was actually in it. I'd rather play that than HS any day of the week. Then again I like that dojin games circle as well.
Maybe add those effects to his +1 spell casts. Keplin when you have shards usually has incredible init to boot so he goes first. Naphax is the weakest to me IMO, unless you want to count the Imperium and Wraith heroes, who rely on getting hit, and it's too rare for them to get hit.
Arena isn't P2W. That said, to get good enough to be good at Arena requires experience, which has to be earned in P2W Thankfully, Faeria beta next week- a game that isn't P2W. (a little bit of grinding advantage, but that's not as bad in my eyes if it's tolerable)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ztxpcmx4ckx65zw/buggysave.EleSav?dl=0 Link to savefile the inability to obtain loot had been for a few turns- I suspected it was due to maxing out inventory, so I tried enchanting several things- that did not work.
The bear is for early game until you get paladins and dragons. I generally don't bother building any units that aren't riders, paladins, knights in general- there's no real reason to even bother with infantry outside of what you recruit from quests.
double post delete.
Isn't that how all CCGs work? Other than the part about not actually having anything besides binary bits in the end, anyway. They're made to be money sinks.
Not all of them. Faeria in particular is a game that doesn't do this. (or won't do this- game is still in development). Faeria is probably my most anticipating game, and I've enjoyed every brief beta for it. Th
