actually, i seem to recall reading that the MOM sequel which never saw the light of day was going to have 6 dimensions instead of just 2. also, AOW-SM had something similar with a Shadowworld level that could be accessed via certain points on the map along with underground maps, therefore effectively having 3 levels.

Last I checked 1C is working on a fantasy wars sequel. I mean maybe, but it seems unlikely. But I do like to hope. Personally I have more fai
Hrm.. I just might have to do that. Thanks for the info!
no probelm. here is a preview of EL on strategy informer-btw, according to this EL will have 3 expansions: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/elvenlegacy/preview.html
i dont know about combat in elemental but i would wait until elven legacy comes out instead of getting fantasy wars. it is a stand alone sequel and is supposed to be out in the US sometime in march.
i'm sure E-WOM will be great-i must because i pre-ordered it but the lack of non-human races is one reason i hope that someone else makes an actual MOM2. when compared to MOM, the race thing along with the creation of a custom wizard are the things i will miss most in E-WOM.How'd you figure that "the creation of a custom wizard" is somehow missing from E:WoM? actually Elven Legacy is a stand alone sequel to FW. Kings Bounty is also a great game (although not purely a TBS) and it also has a stand alone expansion/sequel on the way. i am also looking forward to majesty 2 from 1C.
paradox has some good games-Majesty 2 is on my to buy list when it comes out this year & i have high hopes for Elven Legacy. i am also still hoping that they bought the MOM license (as implied by this article: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/04/20/standing-on-the-shoulders-of-giants/ ) so we get E-WOM & MOM2. i know, i'm greedy but what can i say?
speaking of TimeGate, whatever happened with them? i hope for a Kohan some day that is much more like AG than KOW (KOW sucked imo). they have hinted to a new Kohan in the past but i haven't heard anything in quite a while.
i don't have any problem with GG myself. i just purchased KB-L from them this past weekend as they had it on sale for $19.99. very fun game btw.
the beta is supposed to be released sometime in June.
i'm in the same boat. i have 4 tokens left so i am hoping to be able to use them on the expansions too.
"Stardock is even toying with the idea of taking advantage of 64-bit machines, which allow in excess of 2 gigabytes of RAM, to support "huge, epic maps -- I mean, truly epic," Wardell noted. "People play campaigns in Dungeons & Dragons in the real world that last for years. We could do that with 64-bit. We couldn't do it with 32-bit because you can't make the landmass that big -- that's been a big memory limitation," he claimed. "If someone wants to play a game that lasts for
actually i am hoping that someone will eventually pick up the MOM license & we will have both E-WOM & MOM2. it seems to be happening more and more these days with companies like 1C doing King Bounty, Majesty & Fantasy General sequels. who knows, maybe they havealready bought the MOM license and are working on MOM2 as we speak (at least this article seems to suggest that this might be the case): http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/04/20/standing-on-the-shoulder

new preview on ING with a partial screen shot: http://pc.ign.com/articles/920/920420p1.html sounds like it wont be out until 2010.
dont know how accurate this is but according to this thread (post #8) it will be announced in November with a 2009 release date: http://aow.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=29,5290,,60
i read on another board that there will be an official announcement in November for the fantasy 4x game. i hope it's true as i am looking forward to learning more about it. hopefully it will be released in 2009.
Folks, check the home page poll and vote for NotMoM2 if you want it before GC3. I want 'em both, but I'm much more interested in seeing what the Stardock team do in response to their affection for that fine old game whose brand owners need serious spanking.
not sure where you got your info from but according to this interview, the fantasy 4x game will be their next game after demigod & there will not be a GC3 in this decade. http://news.bigdownload.com/2008/06/18
a new interview with Brad that mentions the yet to be announced fantasy 4x: "There are also reports that Stardock is working on a Might and Magic style fantasy strategy game. Can you confirm that and if so what can you tell us about it? I would say it's more similar to Master of Magic than anything else but it's really its own animal. It's a turn-based fantasy strategy game that lets people build up a civilization in a world filled with magic. That's our next game after Demigod
my account seems to be off by 1 token. i purchased 10 tokens and have spent 5( 2 for astral masters & 3 for avencast) but my account balance is only 4 tokens. how do i correct this? thanks in advance.
with Atari out of the PC gaming business, maybe someone else will be able to purchase the MOM rights and will make a decent MOM2. that way we will get to enjoy both games! i can always hope.
any idea when the 1.02 patch for Avencast will be available? according to the developer, although the patch has been released for the boxed version, TGN will need to release on for the game purchased from your website. thanks.
