it would probably be worth visiting the stardock news server, and posting in the icon packager forum. i dont have the URL on this machine, but i have found the url for the parralel windowblinds newsgroup, which is: news://news.stardock.com/stardock.windowblinds
i know however, since i am not so silly as to remove the rapper before sitting on my chocolate, none of it can escape, so all that happens is that i reshape MY chocolate, and then store it in a cold place for a while to solidify my new sculptural expression
i beleive winxp does this without windowblinds help, but only on its own skinz
window blinds only skinz windows while it is loaded, so unless it is loading on boot, no skinz when you reboot. as for icon packager, a bit more strange. try rebuilding the icon cache, since that may help.
i ended up with the word "evil" while trying to sum up my impressions of some of the ideas that seemed to be going on. of course, by the time the words reached here they had gone through the *feline* zone, and things are never quite the same after that ultimately i was trying to "defuse" what seemed like an unbridgable difference of opinions.
posting delay i see what you mean. if you can find a way of forcing the colour blend in the uis file, what about packing up several skins into one pack? the idea is that they would share the graphics, and only the uis files would differ, and then only in the colours section. of course, i dont know if you can force blend, and this is rather a crude brute force solution, but still it ma
strange, i cannot find it when searching either. it did come from here, and was the no.1 download for a while as i remember. from the uis file: SkinName=NoOS SkinAuthor=treetog AuthorsURL=http://www.integration-worx.com [email protected] however, i cannot see the NoOS skin at this site. if you want i can zip it up from my machine, and email it to you. the zip is 125k any preferences for email account?
have you tried rebuilding the icon chache? there is a button for this in icon packager, the one with two green arrows on the tool bar. i dont know if this will help, but it is worth a try.
i dont actually know the answer, but i dont intend to let my total and complete ignorance of creating skins stand in my way i beleive the NoOS skin supports this, and from looking at its bits, there are mask copies of lots (all?) the bitmaps, but there is no sign of any "Colours Mask" entry in the uis file. since the percentage blend is set in window blinds, i would guess that this value i
i tried the media player simulation, and the whole of IE stopped responding, taking out wincustomise as well. talk about realistic!!!
/me contumplates pictorial answers this could be a problem, to many pictures means more bandwidth
Buzz_Hog - Watch yur task manager when this is happening and see what is hogging up the processesor... On NT or Win2K hit Ctrl, Shift and Escape. Check the processes tab. good point, i never seem to remember to check this once i get busy though. just after it finally finshing booting though the "system idle process" always seems to be hogging all the CPU power. perhaps i should kill it next time my machine slows down <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/l
perhaps i should form a comunity with craeonics by sitting on him and purring while he feeds me chocolate. that way he can learn to trust me
with a name like that are you sure? MadIce loves chocolate too and will probably eat all of it himself. /me sits on chocolate so that no one can steal it
its Zen take the sound of one hand clapping, divide it by the square root of -1, and then coat in chocolate. when the chocolate coating has dried, place it somewhere well hidden, and then count how many seconds before someone sneaks in and eats it. that number is the answer
good point! /me goes looking for tv to write "this is to certify that Feline is sane" on
/me droool
craeonics takes it off topic seeing this is leading nowhere good thinking! having read all of this, i have a philosofical (i give up, got a headache, dont care about its spelling) problem. if we accept as a working theory that stardock is evil, then we have a problem. i have looked carefully, and have assured myself that i am not stardock. however, everyone at work agree's that i am evil. so, either people cannot recognise evil when they see it (see, i really am
Buzz_Hog - feline, I don't think that's a hardware problem... Are you running Seti or a CPU cooler app? personally i think it is something to do with one of: software firewall, atguard IE being a terminal resorce hog antivirus program, which literally adds 10 minutes to boot time i keep toying with stoping antivirus, but with all the fuss, ect i am not sure it is safe. my machine is fine off line, so long as i dont go totaly silly, so its not a general pro
Wild-Chocolate - Feline i int 4 eating and im not ur Plesure Toy... this is mislabeling of goods! all chocolate is my plaything by definition!!!
since Elfkura seems to have stoped hunting for the moment, would anyone mind if i kidnapped Wild-Chocolate to find out how accurate the name is??? /me LIKES chocolate
object bar is currently in beta, and is only available as part of object desktop from stardock. personally, i would say getting object desktop is very well worth it, all these lovely toys
Doreen - MadIce you'd have to pay me to take that test! hehe wayyyy too long if you ask nicely, i may be willing to bribe you with a small bit of my chocolate. its to hot here for chocolate in the day, so i am having to subsist on borbon biscuits instead, and can hardly bare the thought of the chocolate going to waste
