Unallowed Apps

according to who?

Found out this morn, my omnipresent employer has blocked this site from my view at work due to a filtering list and "Unallowed Apps". No more browsing at high speed for what I will download later on dialup. No more finding out about glitches and reading of the fixes before it hits me at home. No more logon previews as wallpaper to confuse the herd. No more relaxing idlings.

Damn the electric fence.

How does 'unallowed apps' stop you opening a web site?

OK, if the web site IP is blocked then I understand, but it sounds more like blocking of .exe files?

And, OK, that could possibly cause a problem for SDC...

there's that too, plus walls. Can't download, just save as or set a background.

in fact, on the web, most right click options are blocked.
