Need a Guru's Help

I'm having a problem with a windowblind I'm trying to update. The regular window looks fine but when I go to test the blind the message box is all messed up. You can see what I mean by looking at the part the mouse is pointing to here: http://redbuzzard.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=RedBuzzard/screenshots/14226.jpg

Just a guess...
It looks like it's trying to make a button visible and in doing so bringing in the whole corner from edge to end of button. If you check in the Button Visibility section you may find a visibility setting that will eliminate the problem.

from the looks of things, you have a caption background for the titlebar text. if that is the case make sure you have the "translucent" button checked also, double check the content margins for the content background. additionally, the content background and and the titlebar NEED to be the same size vertically...otherwise they will fight each other and produce the effect you have here. you may also want to go to the visibility setting for the content background and make it so it displays only if there is a minimize button, or something to that effect. since those message boxes have no titlebar text...you don't need to the background for it.

without looking at your skin in SKS it's hard to determine what it might be other than the content background issue.

I was guessin'
I assume you've already played with the margins. My guess was buttons since it's the sizable version and the right side that seems to want to overlap.

I see the cause of at least one of the problems:

The left and right sizing margins of the Titlebar graphic are set so that the "narrow" ends of the graphic are excluded from stretching/tiling and that the "end brackets" for the "wider" portion of the Titlebar are likewise excluded from stretching/tiling. This results in the right end of the Titlebar graphic (the part excluded from stretching/tiling by the sizing margin setting) is overlapping the corresponding left end of the graphic in small windows, any window which is narrower than the sum of the two sizing margin settings in fact, such as the Message Box in your linked image.

The magic pink problem may also be related to the overlapping of the images, though I'm less sure of that.

I don't know of a "fix" for this as I don't think WB can force small windows to be a minimum width.

Cheers,
Daiwa

On it's way Cavan1. Appreciate your help on this. I think Daiwa is right on the head with this also. Open the file I send with outlook express (or forward it to another email addy that isn't hotmail) because hotmail always thinks *.wba files are viruses.
