Trimming down WB skins

The following question is NOT meant to be a criticism of ANY skinner but simply one which pertains to my own interest/preferences and personal use.

Most WB skins come with two or more "substyles", e.g., Full and Compact Start Menu, etc. I rarely, if ever use anything other than the Full Start Menu. So, what I was wondering is if there was a feasible and easy way to remove all the unwanted substyles and just retain the one or perhaps more desired. For example, can one open a multiple-substyle skin in SKS and simply delete one or more substyles without effecting the one(s) you want to retain? If nothing else, being able to do this would save a considerable amount of HDD space.

If there is a way to do this, I would appreciate something more than a "Yes" answer; a few words of HOW this can be done would be friendly.

THANKS!

In the case of Standard & Compact Start menus, I'm not sure there would be a huge drive space savings. My understanding is that the only item duplicated is the User Panel-- of course I could be mistaken, never actually having made a WB...

You can save any of the substyles in a skin as its own. Clcik on FILE..ZIP FOR DISTRIBUTION...when prompted to save all the substyles or just the one, save just the one.

When you rename a skin, Skinstudio deletes all the obselete files for you.

In some skins, just the code is duplicated for the substyles. Some skins have a few extra images for the substyles, some have all the images duplicated. It depends on the skin.

I think you would have to have a considerable amount skins to save considerable amount of HDD space doing that.
