it's always clearer in retrospect

It's a good breaking point, moving far away at the end of the year. A clean cut.

Our primary class will have new teachers not only because we're moving, but they would have moved up a class anyway.

I look back over my last three years of *sketchy* church service and I see nothing but room for improvement. No kids deserve lukewarm teachers. Kids deserve the best..

So I've learned a hard lesson that if I get this calling again (or any calling for that matter), I've got to work harder. I know I can do it, and it will only make me happier :)

I don't want this to sound like a "New Year's Resolution" because I don't believe in such a thing. It's just something I want to work on. The season is right. The feeling is strong.

Lots of insightful thinking there AngelaMarie

I've been thinking that the New Year should start in the spring, when things "come to life"
when the flowers bloom, and trees bud out. Seems like a good time to be making resolutions
because we're full of energy.

Moving is a hard thing to do, and changing professions AND moving is indeed a clean break.

Very true. In fact, that's when I usually come to life too, and yeah, I guess I go on a rampage of resolutions about that time.

The best in whatever endeavor you choose, you are right about kids, they deserve the best out of adults they come in contact with.

I'm glad you are motivated for improvement. but don't be so hard on yourself! You do better than you give yourself credit for!
