lock-up with 1.10A

The game immediately locks up on the Strategy First intro screen ever since I updated to 1.10A. It never happened before. Running win98SE, 512 M, Athlon 1600+, GF4 Ti 4200, Detonator 45.23.

Anybody have any ideas?

No idea what's wrong.
I can suggest this workaround.

Rename the sf_intro.bik and intro.bik in your galciv/movies directory.

Anything, MG. intro_bak.bik for example.

I now have this problem! GalCivW.exe ALSO has this problem.

It only started happening after StarDock Central auto-updated itself with 3 files and forced a reboot. Now, no can play GalCiv.
