What about Shadows?

or when WindowsFx will go to hell?

I wonder WHEN Stardock will make shadows usable, at least! Because having a windowblinds skin with some tranparency parts and windowsFx working together only shows how bogus these are..... The shadows are applied outside the transparency area, thus giving to the eyes an empty space with a shadow under it! Really nice, isn't it?? Keep on working guys!

They have an update for WindowFX in the works, they know and has been stated many times in other threads that current WindowFX build is not compatible with WindowBlinds 5.

did I talk about Windowblinds V5?? I don't think so! I still use an old 4.X version and it is the same bug.

You did not say what version, when update for V5 is ready your V4 problems should be solved also.
Which parts have this issue, for V4 would only be the Start Menu? If so I just tested Tronnix, yes had
a clear area between menu and shadow but then again Tronnix has been done with shadow around Start Menu,
so in this case conflict would be the skin and WindowFX, not WB and WinFX. WinFX would be shadowing a shadow.

WFX has always applied the shadow outside of transparent areas because the window is still essentially a square one, just with bits made invisible. With WB5, shadows can now be built right in to the skins themselves so they fit the outer contours of the border, so I think a lot more people will start to take advantage of that feature soon.
