Window Blinds 5 won't work

really, it won't

Hi,

Just upgraded my subscription and updated to WB5.

However, I can't get any of the skins to load, even though I get the little "loading" message.

Any thoughts?

More specifically, any thoughts that might help?

And, don't post the 'cracked' link! This is legit software.

legit trial or legit paid?

seems to me loading a skin takes longer than it used to

maybe some of the regular system info (mem, ram, etc) might also help once one of the smart guys show up.

Do you have anti-virus installed? And if so, which one? Some of them interupt the skinning process depending on how they're configured.

I cannot get windowblinds 5 to work properly on my computer. I have a AMD 64 bit chip with 1 gig of memory. The problem is the CPU is always running at max and no memory is available for any other processes. Windowblinds 4.6 works perfectly. I am hoping later revisions will address this problem.

I have AVG antivirus installed.

I'm running XPSP2 on a Dell GX270 with 256mb RAM.

I don't think its a hardware problem, rather a software clash or missing link somewhere. I may try reinstalling wb, and see what happens.

I had teh same problem when I first installed WB5. I ended up rebooting my machine a couple of times and it then loaded the correct skin and everything has been great since then..

Was it just that you forgot to reboot after the upgrade? For the benefit of others.
