up proposals

just after i posted my last post about up proposals, i played a game with all 9 races on a gigantic map. i always set some sort of relationship level at the begining of the game so that all races are involved in every meeting regardless of whether i have run across them or not.

at the 2nd up meeting, a proposal was put out for a galactic cease fire, even though no one was at war. then, about an hour later, in 3 turns every race except the altarians and terrans declare war on me. so suddenly i am at war with everyone, and no way to stop them all.

definently think there should be a way for memeber races of up to be able to call the up to stop others from invading.

if your being invaded by a non up member then the chances that theyll declare war on the invader should be extremely high (this would be one incenetive to staying in the up) if your being invaded by another up member then there should be a voting on which the up decides to declare war on the invader, do nothing, or declare war on you. this would depend on race relations influence moral alignment exct

there should also be more ups and owns to belonging to the up or leaving it.

Also think it shouldn't be available straight away, when one race discovers a certain tech it unlocks it

so you don't wany a up at all in the begining??? i guess it is mostly useless for the first 100 turns or so.

also what is the deal with the minor races never taking part. minor races should be allowed to join the up if they become powerful enough. i had a game on galciv 1 where an initial minor race started in a really good section. by the time i found them, they had nearly conquered another main race. they ended up being my ally through the whole game because they never really get mad at you.
