WB5 button glow effects

need a tutorial link or just some info...

ok i did a search on the forums for "glow effects" and turned up nothing. what i need to know is where in skinstudio do i define the titlebar button glow? if someone could gimme this info or link me to a tutorial thatd be cool

SkinStudio 5.0.0 build 1105, Explorer tree, Window Borders-Per Pixel, Buttons, Button Glow is a sub for each button.

ok i found that now...but when looking through different peoples skins (ones with glow) there are never any options defined here....so where do skin-makers put the glow option in? and how is it done?

There will be an image there if the skin has the glow effect. If there is no image in skins you have looked at then, without knowing which skins, I would say is not a glow effect but just the different states of the buttons that may sorta look like a glow. Glow is a image that is overlayed on buttons on mouse over, a mask.
If you don't have, download VistaXP by KOL, it is a good example of the glow effect. The Glass subs for WB5.

the skins i was comparing were StealthOS (no glow) and Noire (glow [included with WB5])

Ah, Noire is a WB 4.6 skin. Explorer tree, Window Borders, Titlebar Buttons - Free form. Select a button, on left under section tab, Overlay Image.
Is in different place depending if WB 4.6 or 5.0 skin.
I was only looking at 5.0 skins at first, my bad.

oh thats no prob, i didnt know noire was an older skin...so in version 4 skins it is in "free form" and version 5 is under "button glow"..sweetness. thanks for all the help!
