Back To 4.6

after finding out that WB5 shareware doesnt do transparent borders on skins that werent included with it i decided to go back to 4.6, but for some reason it still has the WB5 screen that comes up when i log on saying how much time of the trial i have, how do i stop 4.6 from thinking it is the WB5 trial version?

You will need to uninstall WB5 before reinstalling WB 4.6.

Please consider buying WindowBlinds if you like it.  The shareware version of WB 4.6 for example is limited to 30 days usage according to the EULA.

im sure i was using 4.6 for more than 30 days, and i never saw any 'you have this long left' message. and as much as i would like to buy it, i just cant justify that amount of money to get transparent window broders.

WB 4.6 did not timeout after 30 days, though menu skinning was disabled after 30 days.

WB 5.0 has a hard timeout after 60 days.

Alpha per pixel for your desktop. That kind of support is normally just for gaming. You'll miss out.

If you can't justify $15 for all the work that went into WB, perhaps you should not use it. And just because a peice of software doesn't enforce a shareware limit, doesn't mean that you should ignore it. It just means that you have the opportunity to do the honorable thing and register.

WindowBlinds really is a great program and Stardock depends on people buying it to continue development. Save or sell something so you can be a contributing member of the community. It's an investment in a company and product you like.

Can't justify $15 dollars??? That is next to nothing for a much better looking GUI interface with powerful per-pixel effects. Just support Windowblinds 5.0, you won't regret it.
