MenuBackground 'magic colour' not transparent

Hi,
When trying to get rounded corners for my menu, in SkinStudio it looks okay, but when viewed in WindowsBlinds or DirectSkin (I am designing for the last), the 'magic pink' is not transparent. The next image looks a bit off in 256 colours, but you can see the corners being pink, not transparent.

Is this an error in DirectSkin (4.6.0.0) and WindowBlinds (4.4.0.0)? Or is it not possible, despite SkinStudio showing it?
