WB5: Remote Desktop and rundll.exe crash with per pixel borders

The windows remote desktop application (mstsc.exe) crashes after starting a session if it is using a skin with transparency (like Arrow). I just found out that the same happens for rundll.exe and that it is caused by per pixel borders. With the "never use per pixel borders on a skin" option enabled the crashes don't occur.

My graphics driver is the latest version from NVidia (81.95).

The application on the pc you are using to connect?

If so that sounds like a bug in the MS remote desktop app.  What version of that do you have installed as Stardock use Remote Desktop without problems.

I assume you read my first post - please have a look at the edited version. I'm using the versions of mstsc.exe and rundll.exe that come with XP. If I start any of these and have per pixel rendering enabled (i.e. the "never option" is disabled), they will crash, mostly after closing the apps.

Could you download stardock smart exception (http://storage.stardock.com/files/smartexception.exe) and run that.  Then get the crash to happen again.  Hopefully in the smart exception directory there should be a .cra file created.  If you could e-mail this to [email protected] it would be most helpful.

Likewise with rundll32 crashes if you have those.
