I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but when I apply skins on the latest WB5 release which it the public release, the system tray is skinned but when you click on the start button, the actual start menu is not skinned, could this be a settings problem or just that the start menu can't be skinned.

The start menu should skin assuming the skin you are using supports it.
Could you let us know what skin you have selected please.

There are 2 skins so far, they are Vista-Style and A touch of Glass 2, haven't checked any others yet.

I believe they should support start menu skinning.
I assume your explorer is called explorer.exe?

Forgive me for being a bit thick but is that Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer?

Windows explorer.
Some people rename it and that can confuse WB.

Yes it is called explorer.exe.

It's ok now I have worked out why it wasn't skinning. It seems that if you have the start menu set to classic style WB5 won't skin it, it has to be set to the Windows XP style start menu for it to skin, more's the pity.

Ahh yes, thats perfectly normal.
The classic menu style is supposed to look like windows classic. Only the new XP style menu gets skinned as WB skins only have parts for the XP style menu.
