Looks like I should wait a bit...

It seems a lot of people are having problems with WB5. I'm thinking it might be best to wait a while before I upgrade to give Stardock time to get more of these problems ironed out. Is there anyone having good experiences with WB5? Or are there more bad experiences than good ones?

I am.

didn't try any of the betas.
when 5 showed up in SDC (show pre release unchecked) I just clicked install and followed the prompts to uninstall 4.6,reboot,install,reboot,apply,enjoy.

Running the new WB5 released version on my laptop without issue.

Ran the beta's which had some issues, but seem to have been ironed out.

If you have a recent video card, and Windows XP installed, you should be good to go.

If you have any doubts, you can always install the shareware version to test the compatibility on your machine.

Make sure to uninstall the shareware version before installing a paid for enhanced version to prevent any of the limitations of the shareware version staying around.

I ran all the beta's and never had any problems. I am running XP SP2 with recent video card. I let Stardock Center download it. I have been running WB5 all day (I upgraded at 1 this morning) so far so good!

I love my WB5! I've ran all the betas since the first and never once uninstalled them; just updated right over them (including the full release version on the 29th). Only problem I've had is a slow boot and an issue with my McAfee components sometimes indicating they're not all installed, but I don't think that has to do with WB5 as I also just recently got a registry cleaner and I noticed that since I did a full cleanup the first time I'll get the intermittent notice from McAfee on boot, but once it updates one of it's components everything's working as should be with all programs working harmoniously.
