CNS News - Better Check your Facts, Factorama

Can anyone point out the error in this factoid from CNS News?

U.S. Secretary of State William Seward agreed to purchase Alaska from the Russian government for $7.2 million in 1967 – a purchase later approved by the Senate in the form of a treaty and signed by President Andrew Johnson. But while the purchase theoretically improved U.S. trade access to the Pacific northern rim, America had other, more pressing issues for years to come.

If it does not jump out and bite you, you are not looking close enough!

I always liked him.  I think he got a raw deal from congress, and that is why he was not a better president.
